Aside from driving, obviously, what can't I do w/ an expired license that I'd be able to do with a valid license? I lost my Driver's license, but I still have my old one. Can that be used for ID purposes for most things?

It's not technically valid for anything once it's expired. I'd imagine things like buying beer would be np, as even if they happen to check the the expiration date, it's unlikely they'd care, but you won't get on a plane with it.
You can buy beer from a liquor store with it no problem usually.
I had an expired license years ago, and found it greatly difficult to get into any bar or club with it unless I had something as backup.
Well, not expecting to go on a plane till May. If I can't find it by April, then I'll fork out money for a new one but for now I'll just stick w/ the expired one + 2 photo school IDs if backup is needed
School photo ID's don't work for plane trips. AFAIK only government issued ID (drivers license, ID card, passport) work for going through security. I did get through with an expired license twice (to my destination and back), so you may be able to? I'm a harmless looking white guy that travels in a suit though.
lol yea I know, I meant i'll use that until about a month till I have to get on the plane and if I havne't found my ID by then I'll get a new one.
Anyone knows where I can get a decent pair of shoes rather cheap?

lol
Thrift store?
I was wondering if there is actually any good dubstep out there.
Everything I've heard is pretty terrible, especially the two skrillex videos I was linked to.
I would think that while you can "swish" your hand through a candle flame, the heat of lava is WAY hotter. For instance, I wouldn't want to "swish" my hand through a blowtorch, etc. Also, fire is ultimately really hot air, and air doesn't transmit heat as well as liquid. My guess is that if you fall into lava from a few stories up (like in the movie), you'd go straight under and melt pretty damn quickly. Probably a brief flash of pain before you're done.
I meant more in the fact that you were buying beer from a liquor store. I might join Rhinox on this hate PA thing if they don't fix our fucked up alcohol regulation.
2 points:
* It's a matter of heat capacity, not temperature.
* Convection is a bitch. In a vacuum, you could touch molten lava with a bare finger for a split-second and not be burned at all. The same is not true in Earth's atmosphere.
I don't think you'd go under. I think you'd splatter like hitting concrete from a few stories (or at least break yourself pretty badly), then you'd be instantly consumed by the heat.
