I remember doing this long ago @ target with Super Mario 64. They wouldn't give my father cash only store credit. Maybe it's changed? Who knows.

Typically stores won't give you cash for returns unless you have a receipt that specifically says you paid with cash. They're all wary of giving cash to anyone vs other methods of payment.

I returned something to Target and to Home Depot last weekend (had receipts for each). Both were Debit Card purchases, and both times it was offered to me to receive the debit back, store credit, or cash.

Well I just returned an iPod (unopened) at a local Target w/o a receipt for an exchange. The guy scanned it and it came up on their system, so I think I got lucky. The guy could only give me store credit.

Target is awesome about returns and will even accept them without receipts if you paid with a debit card or the item is scannable. They are seriously the best if you want to buy something that you think might break within 3 months or that you might want to replace every 2-3 months.

Target can do receipt lookups for the 90 day return period on check, debit or credit. If you try to do a no receipt return it will go on your ID and there is a $70 annual return limit per ID and you will only get a gift card.

Since the iPod has a serial number, when it scans they can tell if it was purchased at Target or not.

This might be too specific of a question for this thread;
How decent of a substitute is that V8 juice stuff that says its a serving of fruit and vegetables per 8oz compared to actual vegetables. I know that it has more sugars/calories than actual vegetables and vegetable juice, but vegetables are quite a bit of money, especially to get a variety of them and I despise the taste of vegetable juice (due to tomato juice taste) as well.

While on the topic, why the hell does vegetable juice have the overwhelming taste of tomato juice when tomatoes aren't even vegetables?

The fruit fusion or w/e is garbage (imo). The vegetable stuff tho I like but wouldn't substitute if for actual veggies. You have to remember the veggies in the drink are processed and there's a lot of sodium in that stuff. There's also a low sodium version but tastes not as great.

Nonsensical question. A serving means nothing, scientifically, and the food pyramid is an extremely simplified suggestion. Also "vegetable" is not a botanical term; it means nothing outside of the food market and may or may not overlap with real botanical categories such as "fruit".
