I applied for one through my bank and was told i had a high score, but they still wouldnt give me one..besides bills like student loans/car, anything else i can do?

I'm really not sure beyond that. I just tried getting a card once I started getting random card offers in the mail. Don't apply too often because every declined application and credit check actually hurts your rating.

I got mine through Amazon.com and I really like it. They'll probably start you with a $400 limit like they did with me, but I got a credit increase after about 4 months.

That's the best plan imo. I get good rewards on my card so I just started filtering all of my money through it. I never spend anything I don't actually have the money for.

g/f's Discover has some solid cash-back rewards, we do the same thing, pay up front with the card for the 2-5% back, then pay the boll online as soon as we get home. Same deal with the Target card 5%.

Note that if you're trying to actively build credit rather than hussy taking advantage of rewards, paying the purchases off immediately won't help there, better to buy small things so interest is nominal then pay them off as soon as the billing cycle rolls over.

Simply having the account open and ensuring the balance stays below 50% (ideally ~30%) of your total credit available will do plenty to help you over time. You don't need to have or carry a balance. And the higher the amount of credit available to you, the more it will reflect positively on your score (and of course, the easier it is to maintain a low % balance).

The most important things are to just make sure you never have a late payment, keep accounts open for as long as possible, and try to keep your balance low (if at all).

I milk rewards for all they're worth, never carry a balance, and passed the 750 range around a year or so ago.

You can start a free account with no catches at CreditKarma to see where you're at as well as get tips like what was just mentioned for a better score. I think maintaining a balance over 35% of your available credit is considered over-utilization.

    Another question. Less gay.

So, in Late Jan of 2011, I had seizures and fractured my spine because my main transplant doctor didn't listen to me when I told him the painkillers I was taking for the chest pain due to my transplant weren't helping and instead of switching me to anything else, he upped the dose to stupid levels.

My question is. I've been debating suing the Doctor for a while now and my back has been getting worse, thus affecting my work and my normal life so what are the statute of limitations on something like this? I want to move out but I can't because I can't work enough hours to make enough money to move out.

And does anyone know how doctors react to something like a malpractice lawsuit? There are only 2 Transplant Doctors here and the one I'm not using already hates me so by suing, the current one would hate me to. Potentially leading to less of a urge to care about taking any possible rejection seriously

Fantasy Baseball trade question, since I don't think there's an actual Fantasy MLB thread.

Guy in my league is absolutely crazy about Prince Fielder, making trade offers for a couple of months now. Now he's thrown two offers my way that have me seriously considering accepting them. NOTE: this is a keeper league, I'm currently in 1st place, and I'm really high on Fielder as well.

    He's offered:

Mark Trumbo and Justin Upton for Fielder

Mark Trumbo and Carlos Beltran for Fielder

Should I accept one of these offers? Or do I hold steady? Current 1B/OF's on my roster besides Fielder are Allen Craig, Paul Goldschmidt, Curtis Granderson, Mike Trout, Jose Bautista, Austin Jackson, Nick Swisher, and Yoenis Cespedes.

Haha yeah, only an 8 person league. It's mainly why i'm iffy... I'm pretty set for the OF/UTIL spots and I'm thinking it's just a down year for Fielder as far as HRs go. On the other hand though I'd be getting a very good haul.

I'm not a lawyer, and my experience is rather limited and doesn't pertain to medical malpractice specifically, so take this all with a grain of salt, but...

The statute of limitations varies depending on the state. Two years is about average. You should be able to find this information online.

People in general don't react well to lawsuits. Some people are better people than others, but personally, if I had no one else to go to after the fact, I wouldn't want to sue someone who I may later need to rely on to make reasonable and unbiased decisions regarding what may quite literally be matters of life and death. Then again, from the sound of it, he may already not be doing that, so maybe it wouldn't change much. It's impossible to say.

The main thing I would keep in mind is that litigation of any sort is a big risk. It may be heartbreak waiting to happen, and if you're hoping for justice (especially expedient justice), you're probably going to be disappointed. I would say the main things to consider are:

    1. How much documentation you have relating to your situation (you want this to be as airtight as possible);
    2. How likely you think it is you could find an expert to testify/report that your seizure and subsequent injury and other problems were directly caused by the doctor's negligence (and whatever other claims you choose to make); and
    3. How willing you are to take on the potentially huge financial burden of litigation. (You would need a lawyer, and lawyers don't come cheap. Of course there's the possibility of pro bono services, but in my experience, pro bono work is something most lawyers only do if (1) they think there'll be a massive payout for them, such as in a class-action lawsuit, or (2) they need it to fulfill the Continuing Legal Education requirements for their state -- but as these requirements are rather low (<20 hours per year), the cases taken on to fulfill these requirements are usually either transactional or relatively simple (e.g., real estate transactions, uncontested divorces, etc.), and thus I wouldn't count on this in your scenario. With litigation, you can have literally hundreds of billable hours of work involved. If you lose your case, you may be responsible not only for your own legal fees, but also for those of the defendant. At best, you may receive a settlement offer early on. At worst, you may spend months or years caught up in litigation and still come out on the losing end. Ultimately, you have to decide if the risk is worth it to you.)

But the best advice I can give is to gather all of the documentation you have and go talk to a lawyer.

Generally, everything I said still applies. The statute of limitations period is still usually 2 years, and litigation is still a pain in the ass.

This site has a pretty good FAQ section that sums up some of the difficulties and various things to take into consideration: http://www.girones.ca/answers-to-fre...ked-questions/ (as well as this site, linked from one of the answers: http://www.canadamalpractice.com/faq...practice-case/)

whenever I wear a sweater I tend to push the sleeves up, now all my sweaters and sweatshirts look like they have wizard sleeves. Is there anything I can do to get it back to normal?

Dry Clean them, no special instructions. Should resolve that.
