Thanks. That's really good information. Come to think of it interviewers always re-confirm availability first thing on the interview. I'm mostly looking for part to full time work. I have some debts I want to erase and a surgery I've been putting off. There's no reason to work less hours at this point in my life so I could see myself working near 80 hours a week if the work is there. I'll keep applying. One more question: When is it okay to start saying I work at McDonalds? I won't allow them to call them but when is it okay to say it? Immediately, after orientation, or after training?

So, I get 700 bucks a month from my Disability. I spend about 400 a month on School(Gas, parking, food, ect), that leaves me with 300 bucks to spend on various things for the rest of the month(This month, I spent all my money fixing my truck so I've been broke for 3 weeks).

A friend said he'd buy everyone's tickets for Video games live and we pay him later.

So, my question is this. How long should a person wait before they start demanding the money and getting angry?

1-2 weeks. After that one has a right to be angry. If you work something out with him, explain your situation, he has the right to regard you wearily until the date you say you will pay him. If he get's mad between the initial 2 weeks and the date you've established you would pay him (if it's not more than an additional 2 weeks), he's a twat.

So my roommate baked some cookies last night and apparently some of the grease he used on the cookie sheet dripped off into the bottom of the oven. When I went to pre-heat the oven tonight to cook dinner....WOOOOOSHHH....so yeah the fire is out and its pretty smokey, my question is what is good to clean the inside of the oven to get the crap out so I can start using my oven again without fear of fire? Added Random Fail First World Problem: I had to wrap my pizza back up in tin foil and put it back in the freezer.

Oven cleaner, it's highly toxic though so handle with care and don't breathe it in. You basically spray it onto the inside of the oven, let it sit and then clean it off. Wear gloves cause you don't want it on your hands either. It'll get off all the tough to clean crap though.

Alright, I keep seeing this toy in comics and games and the like, and it drives me nuts because I have no clue what it's called. It's that thing that looks like a bunch of sticks on ball joints or something, and they move around in crazy directions on a stand. There's a sketch of one of them on the latest xkcd comic with the spider sweater. Theyre kinda fun to look at... <.<

It is legal for a new male and new female driver to get the same car, go through the same insurance company, and have the company give the male higher rates because statistically men are more likely to be in a crash. So if you're going to discriminate LEGALLY, make sure the numbers are on your side!

I have/get to open my first bank account soon, but there are so many options I'm left clueless, halp?

I live in NYC so most branches are within walking distance, it's mostly just which is the best choice.

I have Wells Fargo, and I really like their online system. A lot of banks around my area (SF Bay Area) send promotions that give you $100-$200 for opening an account and doing direct deposits or similar things, which is really easy if it's your first/only account. So I'd check around to see if they have something like that.

In general, it's a good idea to open a savings account, just to get yourself into the habit of saving. Most banks have a minimum total balance above which they waive any sort of monthly fee and give you free checking, so just get one of those packages and you should be set. Interest rates are so low nowadays that I wouldn't worry too much about how much they give you on your checking or savings account (unless you have a lot of cash, but then you wouldn't put them in a savings account anyway).

I don't know anything about Wells Fargo's personal banking systems... but I can assure you that their loan department is stupid as hell. Auto-dial me at 9pm, only option is to ask for a representative, office hours are 8 to 6, please call again. Just an example. So glad ACS bought my loan. Also glad I paid it off.

I use a local bank. Their service is excellent (all those overdraft fees for more than the overdraft? Waived, because they're awesome.) and their online capabilities are good too. If I want to do anything special with my account, I can just call them up or go down to the office, explain what I want, and they'll do their best to make it happen. They have a few branches throughout the region, so even if I'm out of town for the day I can still do stuff in person. And they work with Visa for their debit cards and whatnot, so it's accepted everywhere. I don't know any of the local banks in your area, though, or if there even are any. Maybe ask your parents? That's how I got my account. Same bank my parents use, and they helped me set it up. Or other family/friends. Keep asking around, I suppose.

Most high schools made kids read it, and I think there's an old man with a long beard on the cover? I haven't been able to think of it for over a week, and no one else I know can think of it either.
