I still wanna know what this weird toy thing the spiders are on is.
Keep seeing it in backgrounds of video games and the like and have no clue what it is... just that the arms spin around seemingly at random.

My wife and I are conflicted. Our neighbors (we live in apartments/town house) have two children. One is a teenager one is a preteen. Our problem is that they constantly scream at their children at all times of the day and night. When I say scream, I mean at the top of their lungs, full-throated, angry, expletive-filled screams. My wife and I agree that this is a horrible environment to raise children in, but is it enough to call child services about? We have zero evidence that they have ever physically hurt the kids, and I've never heard them saying psychologically damaging things to the kids, but it still feels abusive. Are they any other options other than child services?
I've never talked to them period, and questioning their parenting as the first conversation isn't something I'm interested in.
Call the police, not social services. The former will give them a warning and the latter will wreck their lives.
Leave an anonymous note? "Please stop screaming at your children. It hurts my ears."
No idea if that's helpful or appropriate or whatever, but it's an idea.
If you approach them, approach them only about the noise. "We hear a lot of yelling at all hours of the night, it's keeping us awake. Can you keep it down?" Don't mention that you've heard any of what's going on or what they're yelling about. They may or may not care if you hear them yelling at their kids.
If the noise doesn't stop after that, then call the cops. And keep calling them if the noise persists, eventually, the cops will figure it out or the noise will stop.

Gonna take a pic like this tonight, got the hat and candy cane ready, lol. Anyone good enough with photoshop to give me a Christmasy looking background, or something like in the picture? lol
Should ask in tech where all of the nerds hang out.
So there's a law (Godwin's) where if you bring hitler into the argument you automatically lose.
Is there one for someone pulling out the child card? I'm sick of no matter how constructive of a point I make I automatically get called childish/kid, etc. I typically berate them for not having a better arguement/comeback than to call me a child but then they usually ignore me (RL or internet) from there.
PS. Yes I need to find better people to argue with. I'm seeking. I'm seeking!

Ah both will work, no worries, I'll work it into the discussion/argument.
The latest context would be a 23 year old MAN calling me childish AND a pervert for complimenting this girl's hips. So I shot back at him "what the fuck are you, gay?" No response.
Can't think of a better response than that lol. I'm just being my gender.
Also, did you have this conversation at work? Because that might be why you keep getting into trouble lol.
Oh sorry I thought I said where, nah that was on Facebook (yes, lol) but someone put a pic up and I thought the hips were real nice -- it was a girl I know, but someone on her friend list decided to get defensive. /shrug
I've been good at work so far!!! I've kept conversation to a minimal and only about work. Any other thing I needed to vent about was done via our office communicator (we don't have lync yet)
Plus I've not fell asleep in meetings, but I've noticed a side effect of not falling asleep and actually paying attention (I actually do listen despite falling asleep, but no one is convinced, plus they say it looks unprofessional) in meetings results in me getting a nosebleed, twice now. Coincidence or not I dunno haha. But it's funny when I return to my desk and then wipe my nose as I felt it running, only to find out it's blood. And everyone laughs, pointing out "was it because you payed much too much attention?"
Hmm that's definitely odd. You may want to get that checked out.
If I have yet another bleed after my next meeting, yeh I will. I felt fine though. Google tells me nothing. I suppose it is very odd.
The only thing i can think of is, is it because I'm focusing too much (therefore, lots of blood going around my head) and then after the meeting I automatically "cool down" too fast and there's no where for the blood to go? haha
Weird presumption based on my 0 scientific knowledge.
You should probably watch Chronicle.
