Yeah my friend didn't really actively potty train his kid until he was between 2 and 3. With their daughter who is younger she started to potty train herself right around 2. I think before that you should just let them feel it out rather than push them too hard. We will probably do that with our son who is 11 months old.

My question is, at what age does everyone stop referring to their kids by how many months old they are? I find it really strange when people refer to their kids by months old anything past 1 year old.

Women up to 2, men 1. And my daughter is almost 2 and goes in the potty about half the time... enough to piss me off because she knows what she's doing!

I would say 2. But, I use it interchangeably. When talking to women, I use months, with my friends and other random people I say a year and a half or almost two.

From a scientific point of view, does putting something through a blender/juicer make it an actual liquid?

It should, yes. When juiced thoroughly, the result is a solution where the solute is the organic matter, and the solvent is the water that was naturally in it to begin with.

edit: On the other hand, it may more technically be a colloid, in which case it's organic solids microscopically dispersed within water. Fuck, that's the hard question. I'm going to lean towards colloid.

I think a blender vs a juicer give two different results technically speaking. And further different types of juicers, centrifuge, press, etc. will give different results as well. The different methods result in different amounts of solids suspended in liquid.

I'd call it a suspension. The particulate size will most likely be larger than that of a colloid, and if left over time, the organic material will likely settle.

No one but me really finds my shitty life funny. Fuck, I just told a stranger today about my transplant and how long I'm expected to live and they broke out crying. If I could actually write a decent standup routine, I think the only medical story I'd have in it would be how I told my doctor I was here for my sex change.

My problem is I'm a in the moment funny person. I'm not good at taking time to think up jokes. I just say whatever feels right for the moment.

Is there a way to protect myself from bleach fumes other than "good ventilation"? I have to clean the grout in my shower and the only thing that seems to work well is a thin brush and bleach.

4chan keeps telling me that ammonia works well to neutralize bleach fumes.

Nothing beats good ventilation. If its a bathroom with a window, put a small fan blowing air out into the window. Only work for 2-5 minutes at a time and take breaks to let it air out.

    Shhh, you're ruining the joke.

P.S. No one is stupid enough to actually do this unless they're 10 years old.

Plenty of people who didn't care/didn't pay attention in science/forgot what they learned in school/etc. would not know that.

You don't have to know it makes mustard gas to know that mixing hazardous chemicals together is a bad idea.

    Re: Random Question Thread.

That doesn't make people dumb you guys are being obtuse because I was never taught that til later in life.

The only reason I would never do something like that is because I had the common sense never to mix chemicals and there is rarely any reason to mix cleaning chemicals anyway.
