Thoughts on buying from a seller on amazon with 0 ratings?
I'm buying textbooks for school and most of the sellers for one book are "just launched" with zero ratings. One other has 2 ratings and another has a ton of ratings but only an 89% approval.
Any suggestions?
Does anyone know a credit card that I can get that has 0% foreign transaction fees? I've seen a couple, like one from Chase, but it's damn near impossible to get apparently. I have good credit and am just looking for something to use overseas.
Look at the 89% and see if it sounds like people being petty bitches. Almost 90% is pretty high up there, if the 10% of failures are stuff like 'not on time' or 'book had tears, but usable' then that's the best bet. 0% could just be someone selling a book from last semester.
Keep in mind you've basically got 30 days to open a dispute with Ebay, too. Not every seller is gonna be a power seller with thousands of trades under their belt. If they burn you, Ebay can refund you and probably will if the seller shows no signs of making it right.
Hard for a new seller to get started since a lot of people are wary of scams and lack of reviews means untested waters (afterall, humanity is afraid of the unknown). A few times I've bought from untested sellers and was very happy with the service I got. A lot of new sellers are usually trying to make a good impression on the buyer so they'll (usually) go out of their way to get you the product quickly with minimal hiccups. Bought a PSVita case from a new seller and had it in my hands practically a week before the estimated delivery date. They even went out of their way to make sure the packaging wasn't damaged and it was well protected in the shipping container (even though stuff like that doesn't matter to me, as long as the product comes out ok the packaging can be damaged). Gave them a good review and saw that they're getting some good business now.
A new seller selling a text book is guaranteed to be a student selling a book they bought last semester and now don't need. Chances are, they're going to need the money, so they will make sure it gets to you without any problems. If anything, i'd favor such sellers, at least for text books.
Okay, yes to good ventillation and frequent breaks, no to ammonia.
Got it.
Thanks.
I never sold for less but my gimmick is to sell priority whether they request it or not.
Is there a preferred internet provider overall? Does it vary by area? Having to set one up on my own for the first time, and not sure what service to seek out.
I'm in Florida, if it matters
Hmm, probably depends which area but in South FL my options are U-Verse and Comcast cable. I think with either you're going to pray you never have to deal with Customer Service, but as far as the actual service goes I think you're safe with both. If something like FIOS or municipal fiber was an option that'd be the clear winner, but I've had Comcast for over a year and it's been solid for all but one major outage.
Shopping around, ran into a followup question: does this mbps mumbo jumbo actually matter? Prices start skyrocketing when you get higher '~'
Well, I mean kinda. It's bandwidth so you're looking at the difference between streaming HD or SD movies if it's too slow if you use netflix or want to stream HD on youtube without buffering. With Comcast you don't have to worry about any agreement and they almost always run a "6 months for dirt cheap" rate that you can always cancel afterward. Even bounce between them and U-Verse if you have the option. Could be even cheaper if you get your TV through them, too, but more hectic to change.
In general the "I'd like to cancel, it's too expensive" phone call will net you a longer promotion, it's just a matter of calling. I think we have 12mbps from Comcast right now and it's more than enough for a house full of people streaming and downloading at night.
Anybody know where I can get good tzatziki (gyro) sauce? I love the stuff, but I don't really have an specialty grocery stores around me.
Howdy,
Im looking to get as much information as possible from anyone that currently lives in Texas? More so in the RoundRock area but Texas in general would be fine too.
Iv been to a few states in the US over the years for travela and holiday (SC,NC,SF,SD,LV,NY,FL) and living and working there has always been my goal. Iv heard some crazy things out of Texas especially on these forums so im trying to get a feel for how it is? How it compares to other states? Whats yearly weather like? How is the current economy? You know the usual etc.
I am hopefully looking to move there with work within the next 12-18 months. Iv also been applying for the annual US Green Card lottery but not had any luck yet. Ultimately getting the greencard is the best option as I wouldnt be tied to a work visa but that would be the route I am going regardless of the lottery as I want to stick within the industry and company im now working for.
Appreciate any tips and info thanks!
I second homemade Tzatziki just need yogurt, cucumbers garlic and oil as the main base and can add dill, parsley or mint for extra flavor.
My husband had terrible postnasal drip such that he is coughing super loud all night long. We have a humidifier, he refuses to netipot, and he took mucinex DM to no good effect. Is there something else I can give him? I got like no sleep last night T.T not really looking forward to a third night of this.
