EARTHQUAKE!

One of the joys of living in California is the occasional rumble of the ground, like what just happened about 1 minute ago.

Anyone else feel it? I wonder where it was centered. I'm in West Hollywood, lasted about 4 seconds or so. Not nearly as big as the one over the summer.

Hmmm...initial report of 5.5 by Big Bear and Barstow eh? Interesting.

I didn't feel it, and according to:

It was near big bear.

According to that site, this week there have been several earthquakes all in the 5+ scale around the world, along with a few 2+... quite a bit for the past 2-3 days alone.

Edit: 5.5 in japan today, 5.5 california, 5.5 chile yesterday, 4.7 mariana islands yesterday, 2.7 oklahoma (lol) on the 1st, 2.8 utah the 3rd, 4.0 california the 2nd... lots at the end of november too. 12 since the 20th november.

Didn't feel it in the South Bay. Definitely not a strong quake a 5.5. That won't even cause property damage to anything but a very very old building, and they're pretty strongly built in Big Bear.

I used Recent Earthquakes in California and Nevada - Index Map a bit
shows quakes and magnitude. nice 5+ yesterday, LA was to far to feel it.
Tis' earthquake season though in cali.
