I have not played in ages, but as far as I recall, no bow is really all that good on crimson or white fatalis.

Not compared to bowgun + bomb.

So how do I get the HR6 white fatalis to show up? I did the hr9 one and all the other fatalis but that white one is sitll MIA.

Forgot the requirements since you have to kill x number of mobs to have access to it. Back in the days Kia had it, and later on it opened for me after completing god knows what. I *think* you have to complete all your trainings.

Bow is trash. Not worth the time farming for armour or bows, I even got to the Fata bow before I moved on. HBG is by far one of the best weapons in the game. If you like it get Laos Czar Cannon, that shit's cash.

HBG is my favorite but I couldn't kill laos. Couldn't even get him to run away. I tried with that HBG and also tried with hammer. No idea what I was doing wrong. I also like hammer and LS alot but guns are funnest.

Also any fatalis sets worth getting? I was thinking the red one for gunner since it'll have fury and evade. The white one doesn't look too bad for melee but idk.

-Well, there's some strategy involved if you wanna get rid of Lao. For example, every time it zones you have to use bombs, continue to slice its face, and then move to belly for max dmg. I think you're better off attacking than planting the anti drag bombs. Once it reaches the final section, be ready to use the ballista. By that I mean you're gonna have to guess its pos because you want to shoot before it's even visible on map. THEN use a warp to get more ballistas and shoot them as fast as you can. Drop down and continue to attack. You have to be very offensive because it has a ton of hp, 26k I think. Btw, it is important you take a weapon w/ dragon element. I usually LS'd him.

If you wanna get a Crimson set, then get the melee, no question about it. This set is broken, and w/ this thing + my ls, I'd slay Lao w/ time to spare.

Yeah I bring bombs to lao shan every time. Problem is I don't have a dragon element weapon. And the melee set is better? I was hoping the fury would help on HBG since nearly anything gets me killed anyway.

Get the Knockout Drg LS if you solo Lao. Probably you won't kill it but at least it deals enough dmg - assuming you aren't conservative - to make em flee.

The Crimson melee is way better, why? Simple, like you said, in order for Fury to kick in you have to have low hp about 60%, it's low enough that you'll get one shotted as gunner anyways. That's were Felyne Heroics comes into play. Start on getting a chef that gives you a > chance of getting it.

Im going for Lao ruby now, is there any way to kill it solo? I got it to be able to retreat but no death. D: Also how does it look when it's shit is broken off? For some reason I was able to break the left shoulder in like area 1 but the right one never broke off despite me shooting at it the entire time.
