Doesn't matter, most of the guys are starting too and have less than decent gear. You should tag along with them so you can get your hands on the items you want to make gear.

Also, I'm willing to help whoever, provided is not something obscenely easy or grandma quests ;x I don't want to butt in because it's best to get a feel for the battles...

If you mean Granny's quests, then naw, you're prolly still 1. To get ranks you have to do the guild quests, which are a series of specific quests you need to complete.

After hunting a massive amount of regular, Azure, and Silver Los, I managed to get a rare key item for another piece for my set, "Rathalo's Ruby."

I'm working on a film for the next couple of days, won't be able to go on until Saturday. One of the hearts is reserved for the plate gear, then I need 4 more for the deco's. I don't think I have White Monoblos in GH quests yet ;-;

Edit: Bah of course, I can do regular Monoblos in GH!

Kia pointed me to an awesome Blos Heart farming run - the two Hermitaur fight in HR4. We wrecked both of them in under 5min. It was pretty wicked. Better than farming regular Monoblos for hearts. I still gotta do the white monoblos 2 more times for a couple more horns then I'll be done.

(My friends are film majors so I was producing one of their films. Got like 3 more lined up which will be fun.)

You guys actually kill the monster for ruby/divine scales? <_<a I just do tail run, cutting off tail then make it drop shinnies @@. If no drop I restart lol :D I really really hope they add in fatalis download quests soon, I'm getting sicked of farming crimson/white for their G set.

Oh and also what weapon you guys use the most? I use lance with evade+2/sharpness+1

I didn't mind killing the mob since he'd be down in 20 min (broken head, tail, flash it mid air for shine, and capture) that'd be 4 chances per run. But yesterday I went on a cutting tail spree, and check what I carved:

I main LS, GS, and Hammers in that order. However, since I dumped my 2ndG and I started from scratch, I don't have the good weapons. I'm going for the True Holowing Devil and Peerless.

What's horrible about Diablos? I wear full Blos Z and have earplugs, RA+1, sharp sword, and sharpness +1. I can finish entire quests without ever losing purple sharpness. (and purple sharpness is better offensively than reckless abandon)

If you're not going to use artisan, you should consider using the nargacuga longsword. After the sharpness and affinity are calculated in, it's stronger than peerless for raw damage without artisan. So are Ultimate Gaelic Flame and C.Blongo Destructor iirc.

I can mix Akantor, Soul, and Diablos to get RA+2, Sharpness+1, and HGE, but It fucks up how my character looks lol :3

I can't bring myself to mix sets no matter how good the skill set could be. Almost always ends in you looking completely retarded.

Also: really loving not having -dragon on the blos z.

Yeah, Akantor was pretty sick, too bad they removed HGE. But not fucking the look man ;o
