Defining momments in FFXI / BG history

Anyway the biggest defining moment of XI as a whole experience in my eyes was the first recorded kill of AV dropping nada, regardless of valid reason or not, that made my fucking day.

Defining server moment still was my shell kicking the shit out of 3 other combined shells and 100-0ing our first nid with server maint looming over our heads (I still have a picture of fairy's biggest players all wiped to a single fafnir with my gimp ass still rocking a hauberk +1 and a great axe). That nidhogg's dorps really were "WAISTED" considering but who gives a fuck, was 4 and a half years ago.

Surprised this hasn't come up yet since a sticky lives on in advanced to remind us, but one of my favorite BG sagas was Maxx. His constant drk derails, his banning, and his reformation as a good poster and deliverer of cautionary tails. I still remember the screenshot of the active users list the day after he got banned with "Joeytheplatypus" circled in red and pages of wailing and gnashing teeth, lol.

Haha, that was pretty awesome too. I forget why shit closed down, but I remember I had an invite so it was all good.

Also, didn't see it mentioned, if it was I overlooked it, but the Kuno cards were definitely a defining moment in BG history. Those things were all over the place and it was awesome.

DRG Penta-nerf.

I remember seeing a DRG in Pashow just running through killing everything with full TP Penta's. A few days later they nerfed and everyone went BAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW for months. After that DRG became the party pariah.

more than 90% sure taj wasn't banned unless he did something else stupid because the next update he was data mining and posting results and suddenly everyone stopped talking about the incident and BG mods pretended like it didnt happen all the sudden to an extent. Not so much on the fact of denying it more on the fact that it was a giant pink elephant and no one would ever talk about it and were chummy with him again.
