It's stupid in that by posting actual values, they're all but welcoming him to their server to come buy out their currency. Yes there's no way to stop him but they shouldn't facilitate him either. And since they have an offhand knowledge of currency prices I'd venture to say they're either upgrading themselves or they know someone upgrading. Foot meet gun

Easily, rolanberry on Remora typically had maybe 400-600/type of currency per night when I was playing. That comes out to roughly 3500/week, or over a month buying it all to finish one relic. If you're trying to monopolize supply to finish your relic and buy it all up, people will see none in fields and list higher. Very basic supply and demand, one dedicated buyer can take well more than the supply for a long period of time, demand exceeds supply, price goes up.

Meet Heckler of Asura, who changed the prices on asura forever in 2005.

Before Heckler, everything costed 7k or so, during inflation so it was considered cheap. Heckler decided for some unexplained goddamn reason, to shout to buy things for 15k, but because people were like "Holy shit someone's buying for 15k?" peoples bazaars exploded to the point where singles went to 30k. Btw when he started his shouts, he had no idea about the amount of coin goblins wanted (hell nobody did), when they started going for 30k , it finally hit him how pricey things were.

Anyway more recently, someone on asura decided to dig deep into his LS bank and clean out rolanberry for any price anyone was asking, no matter what. I hear he still hasn't gotten fragment done but who knows. Prices jumped up a good deal because of him. Ah good ol' LS bank.
