Killzone 2 Dated.

This. I picked the game up yesterday and had to wait til today after work (12 hour shift) to play... was almost bursting at the seems. Played online a bit and got stomped (really wish you could customize controls... been playing resistance 2, so even though I tweaked to Alternate 2 to fit my tastes a bit better, I still found myself crouching when I wanted to run.. etc).

Aim is annoying. I hate anything with aim acceleration; console FPS, mouse on PC, anything. Its slow at first, then whizzes by- makes aiming impossible. If I crank up the sensitivity to where I can get to my target before the accel kicks in, turning more than 90' is impossible without getting lost. And if I turn it down so that doesnt happen, its nearly impossible to aim at anything before the acceleration kicks in and throws me off. I spent a good 5 mins or so just trying to aim up-left and back down-right on two marks on a wall trying to get used to it.. and just couldn't. Swapped to singleplayer a bit, and ended up getting frustrated and turning it off.

Will try again tomorrow, just pretty frustrating.

Nothing will control as well as Halo on a console imo; you can get used to Standard 1 if you put the sensitivity 1 off max.

I think Cod is god-awful. This game absolutely massacres CoD.

Now before I get a shitstorm, Im only talking about offline campaign, I havent touched the multiplayer yet untill im done with the story, which i suspect im pretty close, so idk if it'll make a difference.

Someone tell me if there is a reason for playing once I get the 3 star rank(which I am about to have)? This is why Halo is so much better thanCoD/other FPS, there are so many ranks for different game types and getting to 50 actually takes a week for me. It keeps me playing it longer.

I have a bad feeling there is going to be nothing to gain from playing this aside from clan matches....

Also just remembered the game supports custom soundtracks in MP, but only MP.
I beat the game yesterday, had no idea what I was doing in the end, took me 15 minutes to beat Radec.
And Rico's a damn fool, I wish I could slap this guy, he needs that.

Technically, there are 550 ranks in CoD. Which takes months and months (would take me a year probably).

But, yea I'm still adjusting to the controls. I'm on...

The level where they invade your base of operations (don't remember the name). At this point in a game, I'm usually pretty sharp with the controls, but it's still a toss-up when I come head-to-head with one of the Higs.

What are they talking about? Cheating with bots in MP? Padding their stats? It kinda says what they did wrong, but not how they did it.

Edit 2: Ahh I found it... apparently you can fight bots in 'Bodycount', in MP, and it adds to your stats without actually having to fight anyone.

I knew you could have bots in MP, but didn't think they'd be foolish enough to make it count towards your rank and think nobody will use it.

Normally it doesn't count, but people discovered that as long as you had one human pllayer other than yourself in the room then the points would count.
They removed bots online the very next day as a temp fix until they figure out what they're going to do.

Agreed, but I picked up Resistance 2 very easily. I used to play Halo semi-professionally (i.e., played in Tournaments, won money from them... etc) so I have a lot of nostalgia for that

I havent played a console FPS in ages.. its just irritating when someone runs in and guns down 3-4 guys on my team and I can't even target them. Simply strafing left and right is enough to prevent me from even hitting them.

I didn't think it was possible after day 1, but now I am going on 10-15 killing sprees without dying. I think last night I had a game where I went 63 kills 7 deaths which is pretty insane for this game. Given, I have an excellent spot on the map (forgot the name) where they never see me and I just spawn kill them XD

Speaking of, how does death cam work? Do you just get a view of your body or can you look around/spectate and stuff during respawn timers?

Just finished the game and it was fucking amazing. The Cruiser level and Maelstra level were probably the most fun I've had from any game in a while.

Just keep killing them and ignore Radec, he'll be in the front of the room shooting at you at the top of the stairs.
