It sucks that the game we were in had Assault locked, you just unlocked that by getting 1 star and it is by far the most broken and fun class to play. They even had the boost badges locked so we couldn't even do the boost shotgun engineer.

Can Assault use more than Rocket and Grenade launcher? That's all I've ever seen them with and aside from laughing at getting 4 kills from one shot, I find both of them kinda boring to use. Assault Rifle is too good until I can use an SMG (Saboteur I think?).
Same here. I liked their spawn points.
Kaz, I had tons of fun sniping you while you were trying to snipe me. :3
Either way, I had tons of fun tonight. I had a few blahzeh games, but overall, it was a blast. Agree about it sucking with Assault locked. I wanted to go nuts on someone's spawn point![]()
No rocket launchers/ GL only. But Assault has boost and you can use boost like every 45 seconds (x2 movement speed). In addition to that, Assault has double the normal HP and their HP will regen back up to 100% unlike the other classes. Just pick up a M82 or a shotgun with the boost ability and you'll be golden.
Also don't look forward to the SMG much, its a piece of shit, and this is coming from someone who uses nothing but a SMG in most every FPS. It just seems to have crappy acc, a huge recoil, and the damage is on the low end, but its good for head shots because of how fast it shoots.
I was [BG!]Katsumara, yeah lol. Spot and Mark is indeed beastly, but most of the times I got you, I saw you before you cloaked since you went to the same spot to camp a few times. Gotta change things up!
And agreed with the SMG. Only reason I don't use Sabo much is because that machine gun is so fucking shitty.
In my defense, I'm a run and gun person, not a sniper! My favorite class and ability was locked, I have fun boosting around the map pistol whipping people, or putting Boost on my engineer and just flying across the map using the shotgun on people.
lol... I'm just bustin' balls. Next time I'll go for the win. I just like to unlock everything first so I'm not limited by what medals I don't have. Plus we were playing on some shitty teams (besides BG! of course).
Believe it or not, the SMG is not bad at all, you just have to use it a certain way. The recoil is usually what fucks you over, but you have to use it to your advantage. Start by aiming at the stomach/chest and just hold the trigger but don't try to compensate for recoil. It jumps straight up and usually results in a (BOOM!) head shot. I almost got the headshot medal using the SMG.
SMG was really good in Campaign. Picked it up a couple of times in MP and I can't see any reason to dislike it there either other than it burns through ammo fast. Already got the headshot medal a while ago, if I can chug out more headshots with it for delicious points I won't complain.![]()
Some more questions...
What are Mission Points?
If you repair a machine gun turret and a teammate gets a kill while using that turret, do you get a point for it? It seems to be that way. I was racking up a ton of kills as an engineer yesterday between making bots, repairing turrets and repairing ammo boxes.
It was alot of fun. I'm not having too much fun as a tactician right now.
Got my first 10% badge or whatever yesterday.
Buffalo eh?
Mission points are given for doing certain objectives during the game. Pretty sure a kill during body count gives you a kill point, and a mission point because you're contributing to the mission. Assassination you'll get mission points for eliminating the target, and when defending a blow up target, if you're inside the green area and get a kill you'll get a mission point. Things like that.
Engineer is weird. Not sure if I was glitching out or I just dont understand it. I thought repairing ammo boxes gave you a point. Well I was going for repair badge and yesterday, at the start of the round, repaired 4 ammo boxes, and it only gave me 1 point. Repaired 2 turrets, didn't get any points, nor the badge at the end of the round. So I think I may have just been glitching, but my understanding of engineer was you get a point every time you repair something that was broken. Maybe i'm wrong though, and someone could clear that up for me also.
Yeah. The box or the turret has to be completely destroyed. By "repair" they mean from completely damaged to fixed. So if the ammo box bar was partially green you won't get credit for the repair.
Personally, if the box is damaged (the bar is more than halfway empty), I sometimes will just help it along with a shotgun blast and rebuild it to get the point.
Repairing bots won't give you a point because once the bar is empty it blows up anyway.
Hope that helps. Engineer is fun when you're the only one. You can really rack up alot of points between bot kills, ammo boxes, and turrets.
edit: Yeah, what part of Buffalo are you in? Lancaster here.
It was the start of the round, so i'm not sure how they would have been anything but at 0 health. And I wasn't repairing bots. I dont know, maybe it was just a bug, because it had worked fine the next round. I like engineer, problem is, usually everyone is fighting for the turret spawn. I really hate when people place turrets way back in our spawn, behind some doorway where it will never kill anyone.
Just got scout and on most boards, its easy as hell to go well in, and above +20 k/d. Got to love a one shot sniper.
Oh, and I'm in Cheektowaga. Girlfriend lives in the village of Lancaster.
If I see stupid placements of turrets I will shoot them down. I guess that makes me a dick, but if it's not helping them team...I don't see the problem.
Alternatively, if I think someone else's bot is doing well, I'll repair it for them.
I have all of my bot ribbons so I don't care so much about racking up those kills as much. My main thing is getting the machine guns back up and using them safely from a distance.
People get ticked and then try to sneak up behind me and take me out.
Yeah, I'm all about shooting down terrible turrets. Really kinda surprised its not like negative points. Some guy saw me do this and decided to file a report on me haha...
Also, they need more options for rooms. Like if people dont want certain things going on, you should be able to ban certain badges. Or for pistol only rooms, should be able to prevent mounted turrets.
