    Had a decent weekend.

Got the m4 revolver unlocked. Finished C4 badge. Finished boost badge.

The only thing I don't really have unlocked is air support.

I don't particularly like playing tactician.

C4 wasn't too bad. It was funny seeing the same people run into my cluster time after time, and them swearing at me over the mic.

Had fun with sniping last night. I figured out a good way to snipe (probably common sense). I rotate in between 2-3 different sniping spots on a level after each shot. It has really upped my kill ratio. Generally if you try to stay in the same spot another sniper is going to spot/mark/snipe you. So I never shoot from the same location twice in a row.

I'll usually snipe three or four times from the same spot if I'm cloaked, and if not, what I'll do to throw them off is snipe once uncloaked, cloak, shoot again, THEN move to another spot so they'll think I'm still around the same spot. That's how I generally get a 30+:2-5 ratio on the desert level.

I finished a few medals with the help of Kiarax, along with finishing the Pistol one myself, and some others. Only one I can't seem to do is the fucking C4/Proximity Mine one because I can't find a good spot to throw them, or they just refuse to explode.

Here's a few suggestions for c4 locations that worked for me:

    1. Blood Gracht - 2 good locations: First, in the canal part where stairs from either end go down into it. This is right around the area where the search/retrieve propaganda speaker spawns.

The second that worked really well for me was if you play as Helghast, go to the ISA side all the way towards the back corner where there is a tunnel entrance with stairs. I always stacked 3 c4s right in the entrance there, and ISA kept walking into it.

As someone mentioned before, don't spread out your C4. Keep them all within explosion distance to one another.

    2. Radec academy: I racked up a few ribbons by placing c4 in a straight line close to one another in the underground tunnel of the opposing team.

    3. Corinth crossing: opposing team's catwalk above their base. Try it in a doorway.

    * Generally entrances that are used often by the opposing team is the best place to put them. Again, make sure the c4 is within exploding radius of one another so if they set off 1 they set off all of them.

** try playing games with longer matches. Sometimes 5 minute objectives is just too short

*** I've actually gotten a few c4 kills while in close quarter fire fights with people. Luckily their aim is bad sometimes so I just toss a c4 at their feet while they are coming after me and it kills them.

edit: about sniping, the cloak wears off when you make a direct shot or a kill. I only switch locations after each kill, not each shot.

Ahh, yeah. Do the proximity mines go off when your own teammates run past them? It always seems to me that they explode when my teammates run past. Maybe it's just from lag or something. I had like five people run past my mines, and they never blew up. Do they need to be on a wall? Or is the ground fine too? I guess the ground would be fine since you said you threw it in front of people. D: I'll try that in a little while.

As far as the sniper thing goes, yeah. I can usually pop off three people before I duck around a wall to wait for my cloak to recharge and what not. Otherwise, I'm a sitting duck. Spot and Mark is so overpowered though. I know the cloak wears with a shot that hits it's mark, though. If I'm shooting at someone, I tend to hit them. I'm around 46-50% accuracy with the Sniper Rifle too. That's what I meant when I said I move after a few shots.. the shots that hit.

I just thought of another trick I did. During search and destroy, I place a c4 on the marker so when the opposing team tries to set or dismantle the explosire the c4 explodes. lol

Other than that, I generally do not put them on the wall. I just put them on the floor. Your teammates should not set them off, especially if friendly fire is not on.

I think that placing 2 c4 that touch each other will make them explode. Also, if a grenade or rocket explodes near it that will make them explode too. That can be annoying.

Ahhh. That may be it then. I just threw the C4 on the same exact spot so they'd stack instead of spreading em out by a few inches or something. That may be my problem. I'll try the S&D one too. Sounds like a good idea.

If im bored and playing a pistols only match i'll go for air support badge but i've basically given up on that.

Question about c4. Are there only 3 c4 placements allowed for the entire team, or is that just the counter for you. Seemed like one time I wasn't getting the full amount of c4 back, but then other times I was.

Not to sure about the C4 thing, I'd have to test it out, I'm like 4/8 on Air support badge it's real easy to get in longer games, bu tI'm not focused on getting it.

As far as I have learned, how much C4 "regenerates" in your inventory depends entirely on how much you've planted, and how many of those have exploded. If you plant 2 on a stairwell and one flies too far, someone will walk by and only blow up two of your C4, and thus 2 will regenerate. Since the third one hasn't blown up it can't regenerate.

Had a really fun game on Visari Hammer, played as ISA on that map for the first time (stupid faction balancing). I was just going up the stairs in that hallway-to-outside platform shortcut between the bases and chucking C4 down the HGH spawn stairway. So whenever they tried to go out one of the two exits from their base, they got a C4 surprise. Ended up going 48-13 (I stopped with the C4 after people were getting really pissy on the mics lol). Easy way to get 20+ C4 kills.

Wow that was chaotic. I just unlocked Assault a few minutes ago and went 56K and 15D unleashing the fucking dragon in clutch areas in academy. Sometimes unleashing your rage over a bad day is sometimes awesome.

No kidding. When I was going for my Boost badge people were bitching up a storm how they couldn't kill me, how I was just spamming rockets and grenades, blah blah blah. Every kill. People are really whiny bitches about Assault class.

My other major annoyance is in pistols only matches and people just tossing grenades. It fills up the Bodycount meter quicker. I can't tell you how many times I ended up with under 10 kills because the match went by too quickly.

Yeah. People typically coin certain weapons as "noob weapons" and what not, and it's sort of annoying. Shotgun/Noob Cannon, Rawkit Lawnchair, random grenades, etc. If you ever get good with something, it's a noob weapon. Same with me on Scout. My average K/D Ratio on the desert Sniper's Haven has got to be like 40:5 or so, lol. I get people bitching and moaning about "OMG STOP SNIPING AND PLAY LIKE A MAN" or someshit.

Other complaints about how I strafe circles around people and how they claim to have shot me 4 or 5 times and I'm still standing.

My K/D ratio sucks. It's .91 ... I've absolutely killed my ratio unlocking badges.

Haha. Mine's around 1.26 or so with like.. 3850:3000 K/D ratio and I've unlocked all but like.. 4 or 5 medals. Only Sabo C4 one left for the secondary shit, though.

I unlocked but haven't used, yet, the air support thing for tactician. Is it stationary or does it fly around a specific area that you placed it?

Flies around a small area (wherever you throw the thing down). It's weak as hell though, almost impossible to get 5 kills with it in a default length game. Only time I've ever found it helpful is during an Assasination defend. Since nobody ever seems to help defend the target it's a good way to spot people incoming round a corner.

So it would probably be only useful for pistol only matches then. Also here's my profile thing Killzone.com if it'll show it and not tell anyone to log on and my K/D is 1.42 for a FPS on a console that is good enough for me usually it's fucking horrible.

I think I'm down to like 1.20 K/D. Some games I can get 3x the kill points than deaths, but other games I barely do better than 1:1. Adding 2 points for headshots doesn't help either, can't even see your actual K/D in game because the stat system is silly.

Yeah. I'm gonna play in a little while if anyone wants to get on and what not. Dunno what sort of game I'm gonna go find. Probably just something to kill shit and say "Fuck medals" outside of stuff like the Assassin medal and all. My Kills Per Hour is relatively low (around 61ish) but I'm +800 or so on my K/D, so eh. Whatever.
