Not how it works, I wish it was that easy, you have to get 10 kills while in one of the areas.

That's a lot easier than I thought then. Shouldn't be too hard to get it now that I know what I need to do. Thanks for the info!
Hardest ones to get are definately:
Air support kills (mainly because their AI is so fucking stupid)
Turret kills (can be a pain if you don't know good places to place them)
Pistol kills (haaaaaaaaaate the standard pistol, took me a while to unlock the M4 revolver)
Assassination (both kill and survive are tricky with a lot of people)
Search & Retrieve (Do this with a smaller amount of ppl to make it a lot easier)
Search & Destroy (Again, do it with smaller amount of ppl)
The rest are pretty easily done with the right job class. (Melee kills with the boost pill on Assault lol)
100k for maxing out rank? For the love of god.
Anywho, I'm really excited about the new maps coming out (huge original killzone fan)
I really need to work on medals specifically though, there are so many things I'm lacking.
Read what I posted.
"Basically go into a long game, and you have to kill 10 people while you're holding/protecting one of your spots" -- as in the Hold part in the Capture & Hold. I didn't mean just kill ten people during the entire mode, lol.
100k doesn't seem too terribad. I can't remember what I had, but I'm sure it would've taken me 2-3 weeks to do if I played hardcore. I don't know if I will now since I haven't been able to get those new maps.
100k is a huge jump. 10k to 100k, I'm at about 15-20k and have it platinum'd so I have no idea how long it would take me to get that lol. The ranks before that were extremely easy to get, I wish they would have spaced them out a bit more. I got General on the second day I started playing multiplayer.
I think you have about 15k or so from what I remember.
Air Support - You covered it. Plus Turrets own them so easily.
Turrets - Spots are easy to learn after awhile at least.
Pistols - I quit trying for this after the last Pistols Only match let people use Assault (before I had it unlocked I think)
Assassination - Smaller sized games are much better. More chances to be the target and less competition trying for the kills.
S&R - What you said. Also use Boost.
S&D - What you said, but also being aware of when it will start so you can get a head start.
I still need to work on Melee kills as well.
Oh, and I'm sure some/most of you have seen them, but there are people who make rooms for the Boost Badge of all things...
Yeah. I played the game online out of the box. I've yet to do Story mode at all, so when people complain about lag, I'm like "What lag?" as I've never experienced offline play. I think I was around 15-20k as well, I'm not sure. I'd have to look it up. I'm in the BG Clan. I also got the uh.. 2nd best General Ribbon (purple I think), so yeah.
Kiarax helped me get the S&D medals and we helped each other with the Air Support medals. I had her help me with the last couple Assassin medals I needed also. Other than that, I believe the only ones I'm missing are... the Headshot one and like.. one other set. Someone would have to look me up for me.
"Pistol Unlock" and "Pistol Only" matches are retarded, only because rooms like that always get people with the M4 Revolver already unlocked, and they just ass rape everyone in the match, it's not even fair.
I completed the game on elite and got all the offline trophies before I even attempted to start the online, to sort of give me a head start and learn all the ropes. Truth be told I haven't even played the game since I got the Valor Grand Cross award, does it stay for consequent weeks? Or do I need to get it again? (I kinda liked the red color behind my rank thingy lol)
I think you have to get it again as they reset every week.
Edit:
Aki, you're at 17,294. And according to the site, you just need 2 more Black Belt Ribbons to have all the medals.
Actually I wasn't responding to you, I didn't even know you posted until I did, was late when I posted, was too lazy to edit, heh.
It only seemed hard for me because I only played in shorter and smaller games.
Edit: Update details.
Killzone 2 Patch 1.27 Details - PlayStation.Blog
This update is lookin' real good, an actual party mode, they've removed the invincibility when spawning outside of your base, so now it's like the beta, hopefully this makes Tacticians think twice about where they put spawns.
Assault gets a little nerf in health, and Tactician's bot gets a boost in accuracy, health, and it seems they're changing the way automated turrets target them.
Just read em too. High Precision control mode seems interesting, might stop all the people complaining that the controls are sluggish.
Wow huge update. So what, the only major complaint they didn't fix was rockets? They pretty much touched on all major complaints. Not bad by GG.
I might start back playing again this weekend. Also, thanks Tomiko for checking up for me. I only need to black belt medals? Sweet. Think you can check my rank and kill/death ratio too? Haha.
Anyway, if I were to come back, I know I've got to hit one patch, and there's a second coming along soon. Will I be able to play much considering I won't have those new maps?
Also, Cydewinder, no problem.
I hardly ever see any rooms with the new maps unless you go into games specifically named for them so you should be ok
Np, was easy to get the info since I sitll have the clan link in my sig (thought I took it out but guess I didn't).
Killzone.com
Ranking - 15445
K/D - 1.39
You'll be fine without the new maps. To be honest, it's harder to find matches with the new maps. I usually have to search all game sizes and even then I'll only find like 2-3 matches.
They added more ranks Akiyama, 3 more ranks after General, since you already had 10k+ points you got the rank right before the final rank automatically.
The final rank is 100k points, last time I checked, only the top 120 people had that rank.
