Yeah, when your biggest analysts get literally laughed at by other rather ridiculous conservative analysts for being so utterly ridiculous, that makes it ok.

You guys seriously can't hear them all stifling back laughter over the issue? And what serious reporter honestly uses the term "narcissistic" for something like this...a bit extreme, don't you think?

"Bush and the GOP are conservative and youll like it!". Ok..So you support your political party weither they "mirror your socialism" or not. Why? Is it becuase you always have to win, you have to beat those damn republicans? If I dont agree with the republicans I dont vote for them. Im not just going to say fuck it and vote for them anyway or "man up and accept the differences". Most of the people that do that, the average american voter, are uninformed idiots. They just listen to what a politican says and dont look at what they actually do. So no...I wont be a sheep following a party just becuase they say they hold my beliefs. If your ok doing that, more power to ya. But dont try to force me to be one as well.
Way to miss the point. I identify with socialist ideals for the most part (kinda plucking from competing schools of it) and that obviously falls to the left. When it comes to mainstream politics, the Democrats represent the left, even though they aren't exactly my personal brand of left. So I choose very often to side with Democrats simply because they are somewhat closer to my personal beliefs and less antithetical than the GOP and conservative parties in general.

When I say "man up and accept the differences" I'm not saying you have to vote for them- by all means, vote for Paul or Baldwin or Barr if you feel that's the best use of your vote. I'm not forcing you to vote for anyone or shoving anything down your throat, you melodramatic strawmanning tard. I'm saying stop trying to unnecessarily claim a very general word for your own personal ideology just to make yourself feel better/provide some sort of ideological elevation, because it's simply dishonest to discussion. See: No true Scotsman - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I just find it absurd in the case of Swampy that he claims to be a conservative and that the GOP is not conservative, yet has ridiculous GOP fanboy avatars and sigs and generally comes rushing to their defense. When a Scotsman murders someone or a conservative lies a nation into war, they suddenly and conveniently get a temporary boot out of the treehouse.

Hmm, let me try it this way. The Democrats support the auto-bailout. The Republicans support it as well, only they want "more taxpayer protection". I don't consider that conservatism, just lesser liberalism. I think that's what Bush is to most conservatives.

Also, I don't see how correcting liberal lies is defending someone.

Edit: Well I suppose it is, but it doesn't mean you support the person.

See I think thats bs cause if anything its the democrats that have been saying to bail them out with some conditions and the GOP that wants the free market to work.

It depends what side of his flip flops you choose to define him by. Overall no I suppose.

@Zaraki: I'm sure there are some, but the head GOP guy said what I said, so assume a majority don't support what you said.

It's not supportive, I just thought it was a nifty visualization of the elections' outcome.

If you think Sarah Palin is beneficial to the conservative movement in ANYWAY whatsoever, then you have no right to talk about anyone else's insanity.

Did you miss what i said two posts ago?

Everything about Sarah Palin is conservatism.

    Small Government
    Energy Independence
    War on Terror
    Pro-Life
    Pro Guns
Tax Cuts for everyone (including the rich)
    Freedom of Religion

No other man/woman has ALL of those values in Washington

Oh and she's about taxing corporations that have windfall profits to redistribute the wealth to the citizens of Alaska.

Also, since when was she small government? I mean she talks that way, but so did Bush. Her record is different.

There used to be Rick Santorum, I'd argue Chuck Hagel fulfills all those values, albeit he is more pragmatic then wingnuts on war on terror but otherwise hes all there. Ensign, Coburn, Kyl in the Senate, theres more in the house as well.

Sarah Palin is not a conservative, she just gave you a boner admit it. Shes been redistributing wealth in Alaska more then Obama would ever do lol

edit: Freedom of religion being defined as freedom for evangelical christianity to become the state sponsored religion of the country?
