Here's my Sidewinder gear. I don't have 8 archery merits (Gonna go 6/6 arch and scythe). I know some might laugh at Vision earring but I like to have some acc on SW.

Just a suggestion if you're worried about the difference of a few RAcc on Sidewinder you could swap Pahluwan for Dusk Trousers and get another Triumph, would only lose 1 STR and profit a few more RAcc. Also Seiryu's Kote go a long way.

Call it silly, but I just don't like the way S Kotes look lol. I really only use S Kote for slug whenever the rare event pops up that i use xbow. I've thought of getting another triumph and just sticking with AF2 pants also. But I don't really wanna spend 700k on that.

This is what I had understood as well. Well, whatever. It isn't a difficult choice for me. I'm not going to stop macroing in gaiters for counterstance, but I'm not going to wear them fulltime when it's up. Just not worth it over Usu-Sune-Ate I think.

BG Wiki is basically the most trustworthy source on the 'net, I'd say, but you can also read about this on other FFXI databases. You could consider it a rule of thumb that -- when it comes to enhancements -- you don't have to keep Artifact Armor on, but you do need to keep Relic Armor on.

Whether that "rule of thumb" applies across all jobs, I cannot say. I would like to see whatever you've read which states that the Melee Gaiters don't need to be kept on, if you have a link to it.

looks good but two things gorget > torque for ws, and also assuming SS you have is gear you have Usukane Legs over shura +1, 10 attack should be beat 1 str on most stuff.

I switch turban in for low evasion mobs where my ACC is capped or at times where I have haste spell + X2 march songs when the extra haste would make more of a difference.

Would carry more stuff like kensei sitabaki and bibiki shell but I seriously don't have the space QQ. For now though, this does the job fine.

Pretty sure i've got most it covered but any criticism/ advice is welcomed. I doubt I'll change anything until I finish usukane body/hands. Was going to upgrade Glanzfaust but i'm holding off on it until it's confirmed which level of aftermath unlocks the double attack on it. If it does indeed turn out to be shit.. i'd like to buy a Mars ring via transfer instead if possible lol

Lower eva stuff, i'd put on rajas/ulthalam personally, use the 2x hq snipers for higher eva stuff. I have less acc than you (turban, lolnq snipers, fumas) and still manage a solid accuracy rate with meat. 8/8 h2h merits of course.

1. I have gorgets in ws macro, that's just general STR build. I do use gorgets.
2. Sorry, the accuracy is so much better than that attack. I'd rather hit a ws than do rather minimally higher damage. (Personally experience.)
