you recommend ohat over shura(5 acc for 5 str) but are willing to waste af+1 mats on nin tekko+1(-5 acc for 2 str 2 dex vs easy to get enkidu's mittens.. while the dex translates to one acc, it's still a worse tradeoff than ohat vs shura)..

Edit: posted this within 30 seconds of stewie's post, yes enkidu are better than af+1 in most situations.. it's a huge waste of AF+1 mats, especially for someone who solos(head and legs are hugely underrated, feet and body are good for obvious reasons, hands are the worst piece imo yet every moron gets them first..)

Yes obviously Enkidu is better then NIN Tekko+1 mostly, but as I never even mentioned it (I assumed he did Limbus for some reason and its easy to get the mats for it), so its not saying Im willing to trade -5 Acc fot 2 STR and 2DEX to this guy since I never mentioned Enkidu at all.
But calling ppl moron to upgrade hands, Im not sure what world you live in.
Ninja Tekko+1 is easy to get and, from what i can tell, do its job damn good for most serious Ninjas here.

I've done lots of testing and have many different Jin setups which I use for many different situations. The stuff I use and suggest works best for my NIN with the gear I have for it, also why wouldnt I suggest someone else get and use similiar stuff also?
I gave some simple advice to this guys Ninja gear. Advicing the Hakam+1 is not a good advice to upgrade over Tekko lol.

NIN Tekko+1 is (relatively) easy to get, but it still has opportunity cost of another piece of af+1, 3 of which are clearly better(head/body/feet).. I personally believe the hakama are as well, though those would be the 4th upgrade. Enkidu's mittens are easy to get as well, nuhn is in a desolate area and you can easily DoT kite it to death or even zone nuke if you have a couple people. I don't know about you, but it took me a while to get each of my plaited cords.. something like 8 months of limbus every time timer is ready to get 4 pieces of AF+1. Getting enkidu mittens is a much easier endeavor than getting a set of limbus mats, barring trying to buy them(not sure how viable it is, a few threads on it lately though so it's doable I guess).

not everyone likes having to use sushi on nin, shura head + hope torque or pcc + enkidu's mittens + byakko's + denali feet + acc rings + hauby+1 has you pretty much covered for ws acc on most things NIN is even worth bringing to at no major loss to modifiers.. even better if you have access to hachiryu kote, i just don't see why nin tekko+1 are so hyped :/ hakama are considered garbage by a lot of people, but if you're soloing difficult mobs then the extra evasion beats out haidate at night and getting free accuracy on top of it is always a plus(somewhat worthless if you have koga legs+1, but gl with that)

You could do Nori kote, ohat, usu body, 2x snipers ring +1, PCC, bomblet, etc and still not cap your ACC without madrigal even on birds.

Know your role. Madrigal = meat and shura + tekko +1. No madrigal? = sushi + banods

You don't 'pretty much cover ws acc on most things NIN is even worth bringing to' ever without a COR or a BRD having his hand on your dick. Sorry.

Edit: I'm so fucking sick of people 'eyeballing' their accuracy. If you people are so sure your sets are better than the current generally accepted 'best' setup then post some parses. I wanna see some 90+% ACC parses from NINs in here, madrigal or not. Chop chop.

Oh I love my NIN, but, I basically never merit on it. I solo/duo/tank 10 times more than I merit. Since the update, I normally spam Crab Sushi at birds, and have Hunter's Roll/Madrigal 95% of the time, and Marinara Pizza+1 at Mamool.

I disagree with quite a bit of this, and the quoted post about OHat.

For starters most NINs use sushi as a primary food, and though you or I may not, it's safe to assume that when a NIN posts their gear, it's based on a sushi build.

Except most nin's aren't spamming sushi at birds (which still won't cap you w/o an acc song anyway), and using sushi at mamools doesn't put you at cap either.

My most recent pt at birds with brd+cor setup with hunter's roll and spamming kabobs, my accuracy was 88%.

So yeah, ohat > shura in most situations.

I suppose next you're going to say how you average 900+ jins.

Question here, would this build work for Ultima, or would I need to add more hp for it to work? I've never even got to tank Ultima before, always had to rdm.

Also, for something like JoL do you blink in/out of the magic set for cures/flash, or just keep it on? I've never tanked JoL either, after dinging 75 pld we pretty much stoped doing sea until the AV nerf. Mostly not sure about how fast it casts and the like.

As for idling in Shadow, I guess its just something I never really thought of, when I first got it I was in a shell that, for the most part, bitched endlessly at tanks blinking much/at all. It was quite annoying, mostly before I had paladin, tanking Khim nin/rdm, getting bitched at by mages and told they wouldn't cure me for swapping into Oshi gear fairly often. Yay for bad mages!

Thanks for the idea, though, I'm really sick of the gallant look, and shadow body looks fairly good mixed with homam imo.

Hmm, picture was hueg at first, but came out somewhat tiny after all.
Anyways hopefully it's still recognizable - most sets are pretty self explanatory. From top to bottom:

TP: Since I put some merits into Third Eye I rely on the aftermath of Kaiten to achieve a 6-hit setup, so this is the set for everything fast paced, like merits etc. Have Askar Korazin for cases I don't get to re-engage until aftermath is almost over. I'd probably use Usu Body over Haub for anything I don't cap accuracy on but like everyone else 14/15 with turtle not putting out D;

WS: This is the WS set for /War with some more focus on Attack. For Yuki/Gekko/Kasha or whenever I sub Thief I use Osode over Byrnie+1.

Physical Damage Reduction: This is the full set I use when I'm in real trouble or tanking some more serious stuff like Odin, Dynamis mobs (especially Mnks) and some other NMs - for merits I typically only switch Head/Body/Ring.

Magical Damage Reduction: Could use some more MDB pieces I guess, but inventory is bad enough as it is ;/ There's also some physical damage reduction pieces in there, since more often than not mobs manage to get in a hit right after some -ga spell gets off.

Archery: Sold a lot of gear I used for /Rng back in the days, so missing some pieces (earrings/dusk legs/HQ bow). Still use this set every now and then for stuff like KS99 Wyrm or anything you typically go as /Thf, but can't build TP on the mob/surrounding and don't wanna wait 2:30 between each WS like Khimaira or Sarameya.

Ambigous pieces in the gear sets I can think of are Speed Belt, Ritter Gorget, Pole Grip, Snow/Breeze/Light Gorget, Brutal Earring and Bushinomimi!
Outside of AV/PW drops and some random bits and pieces I don't see anything major left to improve. Working on some polearm set, but not a great fan of colibri camp anyways and need to get a good polearm before fine-tuning it.

Side Notes - I got the gimp body piece since there are no level 55's. So I'm waiting for one to pop on the AH, I got Haubergeon / Amemet +1 / Potent Belt / Chiv Chain / Vassago Scythe, Bomb Core at 58-61.

Other then that, any suggestions for my gear now / future gear suggestions? I'll be buying Dusk Gloves / getting W Turban / Swift Belt / Amir Boots. I don't have sea/nor a HNMLS.
