Seemed like towards the end, Oregon wanted it more...

and for St to be that close in that game was pretty amazing, they were getting hammered all over the field physically

So to say they 'kicked Oklahoma States ass" i would agree with that, because tbh, they physically did.

I went with Pitt against Oregon State, but I'm not sure on it. Pitt's coach isn't exactly a genius in those type of big games. I'm just hoping for some awesomeness from McCoy at the tailback position.

Oh my bad, you're 100% perfect and when I call a close game that makes perfect sense to call, it was a fluke, but when you call a close game that's lost because of injuries that can't be predicted, you were all over that shit.

Nope, nothing changed at all from the time OSU came out stomping them to the rest of the game where they fell apart.

Duuuuuuuude, Wannstedt is awesome. I picked Pitt too. I'm a Wannstedt homer though.

@ Plow: I called an Oregon win, and so did others. noone "called dez bryant blowing out his knee". Noone said that. Quit making logically fallacious arguments. God damn you've proved to be good at that. I'm not continuing into this ridiculous argument. OSU got clearly outplayed and lost in the 2nd half. Go QQ somewhere else.

Oregon State is missing their two biggest offensive weapons, and the Sun Bowl is a tremendous let down after being a game away from the Rose Bowl. Oregon State actually has a pretty stout run defense, but the Ducks ran all over them last month. Mike Riley's a good coach who has never lost a bowl game as an assistant or a head coach, but I think the deck's stacked against him in this one.

This will be one Pick Em game I'll be happy to be wrong about, though.

What's stupid about the quoted statement? 15% of Bowl Pick 'em did choose Oregon to win this game, and I called it earlier because of how on fire Oregon's offense was at the end of the year. Injuries are indeed unpredictable, but you play through them. You don't lie down and die. Oregon outplayed Oklahoma State in the second half; outscoring them 35-14. They were a shit ton more physical too, and as I said, that's why Robinson looked out of it. He was getting hammered.

So.. why quote that part of his post to ask if he's that damn stupid?

    Nail, head, etc

I have no real lean towards one way or the other with these teams(East Carolina doesnt play till friday >< ) ...but whats quoted here is 100% fact. I dont know how you can really even try to dispute that.

I don't have anything in the game either. People will say I have an agenda to hate on the Big 12, but if I really did, I would have picked against them in every game. I picked against Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, but went with Missouri, Kansas, and Texas. I don't have an agenda against the Big 12.

I'm curious if we'll have to have an internet forum argument after the Big 12 loses a game. God. Part of me hopes this is their only loss. =[

Did you not notice the part where Bryant could barely walk and spent the entire time trying to convince the coaching staff to let him play?

Are your heads really that far up your asses to try to insult them on "not playing through" when the 2 best players on the team were clearly in ridiculously bad shape and yet still out on the field on their last play of the game doing their damndest to try to save it?

The last fucking pass was Robinson to Bryant, did you honestly just say that?

What was stupid about that comment was to even begin to think I was somehow actually saying he called Bryant getting hurt... like... how fucking dumb do you have to be to get that out of what I said, seriously...

I'm not making excuses, the little kid over there jumped all over me for pointing out that I was 3-0 in the ACC games because one of them was close, then gets flat out angry with me straight up because I call him out when he tries to act like he knew Oregon was going to win when there's no telling what happens if Bryant doesn't blow out his knee/ankle.

I picked missou, kansas, and texas and picked against OSU, OU, and TT. I think the TT game is my 1 pointer.

    mmk

I realize you were being a smartass and trying to say that I got lucky or some shit because the only reason Oregon won was because their star wideout was hurt. YOu were being a smartass, and because of that, I replied literally.

Depends how badly you guys want to come around saying "I told you so," with absolutely no regard for what actually happens in the games.

If Crabtree breaks his leg with Tech stomping all over Ole Miss, who then takes over while Harrell takes a huge shot in the back and starts missing his receivers by 5 yards, and Ole Miss manages to come back and win by a touchdown, and then you guys come post about how you knew it intentionally aiming for responses for me, yeap, we'll have to have an internet forum argument.

Especially if the refs try to hand Ole Miss the game at one point only for Tech to stop them 4 times from inside extra point distance.

I usually wouldnt say this, and this is a rare occurrence

But um....Oklahoma's QB was hurt because Oregon was playing much more physical football than the O-line could handle

I mean, intentionally hurting people is wrong, but he didnt take a cheap shot or anything, he was just getting rocked.

So, just in this specific situation, Using the excuse that he was injured is actually testifying to how well Oregon was playing.

No, Devolver, the refs were allowing the Oregon defense to line up in the neutral zone and because Bryant was out, Robinson had to hold the ball longer and couldn't make decisions. If Bryant was in, he wouldn't have gotten folded like an omelet either and would have put up 65 points in the second half. It's all Bryant and the ref. Give the Oregon offense and a physical defense credit...no way!

I wasn't going to mention it but he did take one big cheap shot. It didn't seem like it really got him though.

The ones that got him were 10 yards downfield directly in the back while being dragged down by 2 people, and one time when they got him as he threw by rushing 7.

Which, was, of course, clearly Oregon's defense playing much more physical football than the O-line could handle. As has been stated throughout this page.
