The first half of the UGA game was a good microcosm of our season...letting opponents get ahead on dumb mistakes and poor playcalling.

The second half was what we hoped our season was going to be, regardless of the strength of Michigan State (who ARE a 9-4 team that earned it, dont mistake that with an often overhyped Big 10 team that starts with Ohio). Our defense played tight. Stafford was on game. Knowshon wasnt spectacular but got what he needed when we needed it. And Richt and Bobo were making the right offensive calls.

In my opinion, Michigan State lost this game more than UGA won it, by not capitalizing on SO many gimme chances in the first half. Notice how Kirk Cousins was actually GOOD, when Hoyer was his usual meh vanilla self. That in and of itself leaves me with a meh feeling on the season. 10-3 yes, but 3 pretty bad and painful losses and a bowl game when we only played for 30 minutes.

Good news now though is that since Stafford and Moreno have not decalred they're going to the draft now that the games over, I feel pretty confident that they're sticking around now for next year. That has me excited for another legit shot at the SEC Title more than the bowl win.

Vandy won a bowl game.
LSU slaughtered a very good Ga Tech team.
South Carolina can't stop the 4th best Big 10 team? Come on.

Penn State: This is why winning the Big 10 isn't an accomplishment anymore.
USC: The above is why winning the Rose Bowl isn't an accomplishment anymore.

Is anyone even watching the Orange Bowl?

Just as an aside...

For all the shit UGA has gotten for the endzone celebration against Florida last year...why is USC not getting shit for dancing on the field during the Rose Bowl? It was all "God, that Coach Richt is such an asshole" last year and tonight it is "Oh man, they're just having fun. No big deal. it's just USC".

The entire upper deck is empty in at least one end zone. I mean literally empty as in not a single person is in at least the 5-6 sections that fit inside the camera.

I saw better filled end zones in the Motor City Bowl.

Haha. He was awesome today. I loved how he kept reminding people why he was actually there so early.

To give you guys an idea, I'm one of the more hardcore fans around here as you know, and I think I watched a grand total of 30 minutes of the game. Like little spurts, but mostly watched SC, lol. So awful.

Also, to point it out.. USC was in the Rose Bowl you know. No matter how many times they go, it's still the Rose Bowl. Going crazy and pulling endzone celebration shit in a regular season rivalry game is completely different, I'd say lol. Who cares though. D: It's over now.

Actually, it all hinges on the Bama game and the Texas Tech game, as you picked Ole Miss and all that, and I do actually think Ole Miss can beat Texas Tech, especially if they control the line of scrimmage. I haaaate how you can't adjust who you want to win in ESPN's pickem. In Yahoo's, you can change the team, just not the confidence. ESPN, you pick it, you stick with it. So gay. D:

The BG group as a whole is terrible. Less than 1/3 of the group is above average. After the top 6 (5 excluding my LVSC chalk pickem), there is a sharp dropoff. Hell, Plow is ranked 7th in the group and is in the 50 percentile. Akiyama winning hinges on two games, TT vs Ole Miss and UCONN vs Buffalo. I don't think I'd be surprised at any combination of the two. Buffalo is going to play out of their fucking minds, I know that much. Depends on which UCONN team shows up, the one that beat Cincinatti or the one that got blown out by Pitt.

I figured it hinged on the Bama/Utah game more too seeing as LAGUNA picked Utah at low, and I went with Bama at around 32, but yeah. I am relying on UConn/TT too. You know, it's funny. All of the talk about loldefense, and defending the SEC this year... I have to rely on a Big 12 team to beat an SEC team, lol.

My confidence has been horrid. I have a decent Bowl record, but low points because I was stupid going low on some of those games, now that I look back. D: Our group is pretty turrible (to steal Drunk Barkley's word).
