Yep. Utah is playing the part of last year's Georgia pretty darned well, rofl.

I admit, the Auburn part inside me is currently doing backflips because all of my Alabama friends have been rubbing it in my face how they've beat us once in seven years. I told them "Don't underestimate Utah", and well.. lol. They said "Yeah right. Our O-Line is dominant!" I told them to worry about Andre Smith being out. Man. Boy was I dead on... so yeah. My Auburn side is doing back-flips, but my SEC side is sort of feeling sick atm. Alabama is playing about as bad as you can. Utah is moving on Alabama like Alabama is Alabama State.

And god no, Utah should not, under any circumstance, be considered for a national championship. Play an elite schedule. They did better than Boise a few years back, but sorry, TCU and BYU isn't good enogh for me. As we've seen in the past, with weeks to prepare these teams can get up and play for one game. They aren't going to sustain that in the Big-12, SEC, PAC-10, or even Big-10.

If you've been sleeping... watch more of the game before you judge.

Utah is playing better than anyone in the country has all year. I don't think anything's even been close. Maybe USC for a quarter at a time now and then.

No. Don't blame this shit on "Maybe Alabama didn't want to get up and play" nonsense. Yeah, I'm going to judge the national champiosnhip on one quarter I slept through over an entire season of playing against mediocrity. Great call Plow. Saben should be eating up these defensive packages. Utah wouldn't do this to USC or probably even a LSU. It's amazing how good you can look when the team yo are playing appears stoic out there.

Oh I'm not an Alabama or SEC fan at all, I find it awesome that they're getting embarassed, so I'm not making excuses for them. Yes they're getting outplayed...but their defense and the rest of the team is just playing so sluggish. They don't look like they did at any point this year, even in their close games vs. bad teams.

And I do partially agree here. Alabama surprised us all with how well they came out playing to start with, and how dominant both their O-Line and D-Line played. The thing is, their defensive secondary is HIGHLY overrated. They've had some HUGE INTs by Rashaad(sp) Johnson, and they have saved their season against LSU. Other than Stafford and Tebow, they played against shitty-mediocre QBs. It's easy to stop a QB that can't throw it to the right person. Bama stopped Stafford to start too, but he hit his stride in the second half when they threw 31 up. Tebow pretty much handled Bama's D in the 4th quarter. Utah's QB, Brian(Bryan?) Johnson is wrecking Alabama's secondary right now.

Great call though, Tyche. Everyone knows how bad the QBs in the SEC as a whole are. That's why when Alabama won those games, it looked like Bama's D was so dominant. They sure as hell don't look like that right now.

Edit: About their fans, yeah. I know, right? I have an Alabama FWB I hang with a lot, and she's gorgeous compared to their cheerleaders, rofl.

And I guess I know what you mean, Gregorio. I was just saying.. I hate playing that "They weren't motivated to play in the "lowly" Sugar Bowl." Now if this was the say.. Outback bowl or something? Sure.. okay, I guess I could POSSIBLY see that, but the Sugar Bowl? This is their first Sugar Bowl since 1992. I'm sure they were pumped. I just think they are simply getting outplayed right now. They need to score here, and get another stop to get back in the game, or it will get really bad.

If anything, Saban is a great coach. I'll expect a good adjustment and Bama to slow down Utah and pull back into a respectable score.

They are starting to find the holes in that quirky defense they are running. JPW is also starting to hit the short slants and screens, so that should back out the pressure and give him more time. Might get Jones involved more in the vertical game.
Edit: But they're gonna have to finish a drive. Let's see if they can get another defensive stop =/

I hope they didn't get cocky from press and such saying they'll win this. I still believe they'll make a game of this but they haven't played in weeks so their obviously a little rusty I guess.

At this point they pretty much have to get the ball out of JPW's hands and pray Utah doesn't explode again.

If Utah picks back up into that insanity at the start throwing into 6 inch windows at the top of the receiver's jumping ability and just making absurd plays all around, it's going to be nutty though.

I must say, it's refreshing to see people fucking tackle for once.
