I cant believe no one mentioned Dead Space at all, anyway, for me there was alot of good titles and quite a few standout.

Mirror's Edge
God of War: Chains of olympus
Tales of vesperia
Resistance 2

Ninja gaiden 2
GTA 4(I enjoyed it)
Uncharted(even tho it came out in 07)

dead space as the winrar for me, game isin't a complete classic. but its awesomely good for me.

Haven't played a lot of the good releases this year, so the only ones I really have to mention are:

"Mega Man 9"
"Tales of Vesperia"
"Rock Band 2"
"Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia"

There may be one or two others I played and enjoyed but don't remember, but that's what I can recall.
