Pretty much something that can be done while waiting for parties since it can only be done once every vandy day. So every rl hour on avg you can do it. So not a replacement for parties but the tabs can be extremely beneficial to parties as well free food, reraise, and refresh is <3. I will do fov just to save on those items an hour of stackable refresh is HAWT sauce add in sigil/sanction yeah that's sweet.

this all sounds pretty sweet. theyve made people relook at old areas, given a *hopefully* non-abusable way to earn a bit of gil, extra bonuses that can even be used @1, and made people use their NPCs again.

i dont see how anyone can complain, unless its about the lack of mobs due to people doing these. but then again, at least their getting xp off the kills and aren't 75s just destroying too weaks. OP warping from a beastmen area is also dollas!

the options for refresh and regen and reraise are incrediable for dunes and qufim partys.
does the effect last if you leave original areas? can you get refresh as your leaving qufim to go to kazam? (jungles aren't original areas) or will people go back to leveling in middle defaulk tower like before jungles were added?

I guess it depends on how much of a hurry you're in.

With my BLM hitting 72, I finally couldn't solo further without /RDM. I'd already soloed it to 20 with /BST, then to 26 with exp scrolls and Campaign Ops. I did some pets until around 30, but on my way to Bibiki Bay, I tried out the Buburimu FoV and it worked great. 30-35 has been all RDM/BLU FoV (I moved to Meriphitaud around 31). I don't use the recommended level ranges, and I think most jobs shouldn't; it's just not efficient. Doing it on EPs means I can clear the FoV, log out (to make my tab buffs/exp band last), go do something around the house for a bit, do another FoV, make lunch, do another, etc. It's great for either that, or for boosting your gains if you were already killing target mobs, or ones near them.

Of course, that's RDM/BLU, a pretty hardy (if not speedy) solo combo. My MNK is 25, and I think I'm going to test that out in FoV next (as /DNC). Since SE expanded the bottom end of the "EP" range a while back, I think just about any job should be able to do it. None of the jobs I have left below 37 (PLD, DRG, SMN, PUP, BLU, MNK) are particularly fragile, so I can't really test that fully myself. I do know that a LS mate cleared the Meriphitaud page 5 FoV yesterday as 26 SCH, but she had an NPC (we both agreed she should have been on a lower one anyway).

So yeah, there are just more options now if you want to get the job done at a leisurely pace. /BST or /DNC if you have it. A few pet camps if that works for your job. Exp scrolls. Maybe even level 30 ENMs. Campaign ops. All sorts of ways to eventually drag pretty much any job to 37 without ever touching an exp party. Efficient? Well...I guess it depends. If you get some crazy powerleveled BRD+COR+4 DD party, then probably not. If you get the more usual sort of low-level party, and the usual long waits between invites, then a combination of these methods is rather appealing.

I'm enjoying the hell out of it. I've taken my DNC from 14 - 20 since the update just fucking around. It's immensely viable for jobs that are decent soloers to begin with, and having a duo buddy makes it even more fun. FoV plus the Signet bonus for solo/low man parties is incredible.

Fucking him plus solo/low man parties is incredible.
I don't know what the hell happened there, feel free to hurt me appropriately Isla.

Sometimes it's better to do a slightly lower level regimen - for example, one of the Buburimu ones suggests Carnivorous Crawlers at level 15. It's probably a mistake - as they don't start checking EM til 20 or so.

Aside from that - because of the gradual changes to solo play - signet, FoV, XP increase... I went from 7 DNC to 25 DNC in about three days... and I wasn't exactly grinding. I worked eight hours on two of those days, slept eight hours, ate, caught a movie with some friends, showered, went grocery shopping, did Dynamis and some ZNMs...

All the while, I died a meer three times:

    1) Tried a tough and ate a Baleful Gaze.

    2) Went AFK for a drink and got Goblin Muggered.

    3) Had a crazy thought and asked myself "hey, I wonder if I can kill a "tough" Malboro.

The new changes are win IMO.

The downside - is some of the regimens suck. Buburimu is VERY nice for those levels.

Having to walk from Gustaberg to the Highlands isn't worth it. Better off chaining EP, then doing La Theine Funguars.

Pashhow kinda sucked. Crawlers are really kinda widespread (or someone was killing them), Funguar were mostly T at 24, Leeches are shitty mobs (hate Acid Mist)... the only worthwhile one was 9x Gadfly...

I'd like SE to expand this to some RoZ areas like Zi'Tah, the jungles and Teriggan... possibly making zones like Rancor Den and Cauldron more useful as well.

So far i enjoy the system, perhaps making it available for more zones in the very near future would be fantastic.

Great little concept for new players.

I read the whole thread and saw it asked, but don't think I saw it answered, exactly. Maybe I just missed it, but say you build up some tabs by doing some of these. Then decide to change to a 75 job. Can you now purchase the temporary effects on the 75 job? Will it last after you zone?

Pretty sure the answer to this is yes

Yes, you can purchase the effects on a 75 job.

As for the effects staying... that would depend on which. Regen/Refresh won't stay with you upon switching zones, all of the other ones will I am pretty sure.

Regen and Refresh do stay after zoning until their hour is up (At least zoning to other conquest zones, I haven't tried going outside conquest areas with them). Like all status effects they will wear when you change jobs.

The annoying thing is they don't stack with spell refresh, and since the effect is Refresh in the status bar I'm guessing it's not very useful for sch either. So high level applications would be limited to times where you're not going to be getting Refresh or using sublimation. I'm guessing the regen wouldn't stack either, so same problem there.

Page 2 - 7 Hill Lizards, 1 Sand Hare in Valkurm Dunes, level 15~19

And maybe if anyone wants to check the absolute maximum level for killing these mobs to get exp that could be useful. I might get a list going for that, too.

Also if you are in the middle of a regime and check a book, you can review your progress of kills. Checking a manual in a different zone than the one in which you started also allows you to review your progress or cancel your current regime. Apparently your regime will not time out, at least not in any short period of time. I've had one open for close to 2 hours now.
    Working on it.

Ah, I see. You might could find a small use for it, but it's very limiting, especially with it not stacking. Thanks for settling it, guys.

I had a go at this for the first time last night and i liked it, I had a bit of time inbetween Salvage and dynamis (not enough time to find an xp party) so i went to the glacier as rdm/nin (lvl 41) and killed a few tigers/gobs - I got lucky with the time and managed to get 2 turns within about 30min or so.

If you dont have the time to get an xp party / travel to a decent gob pet area then you will like FoV and i can see it as being a nice boost to an xp party in areas Like Qufim.

I did this after dinging my RNG, went to Buburimbu and picked the highest lvl one (lvl24-26 reccomendation, I was 30) , and it's a nice way to get some simple buffer for a lowbie job.

Also ended up getting a gold treasure casket, with a rare/ex item in it. Some staff with MP drain, lvl15.

Well..as a 4x SAM, I can partially do the Qufim island one still, leeches and gigas still checked EP, except Pugils were TW..so Maybe Qufims max is around 37?

I went 35-40 in qufim on page 5. Pugs didn't start checking TW until I dinged 40, so I moved on to the glacier.

Easily got to 37 WHM yesterday in Qufim with my SAM partner. I think you could get to 38, maybe 39 before the exp from mobs just wasn't worth it anymore. Really, anything after 37 in Qufim is kinda cutting it too close. There are regular parties there, and people in the low to mid 30s trying to use FoV to level. I would personally move on out of Qufim after you get a buffer into 37.
