I figured I'd make a new thread for this so that it didn't get buried for all the Serpent General fankids (like me) trying to figure this one out. Feel free to move/merge/shoot me in the face as you see fit. I didn't really see a better place to put this, although I guess it could go in Standard if it had to.

So far I have:

1. CS with Fari-Wari (unsurprising)
2. CS at the Sprightly Footsteps at L-7 in Mt. Zhayolm (night only 18:00 - ?).
3. CS at the Withered Petals at L-7 in Mt. Zhayolm (also night only)
4. Obtain Hydrangea, possibly by killing trolls.

Sprightly Footsteps just tells me: There is nothing out of the ordinary here.

My bf got a cutscene at the footsteps but I didn't, even though we both got the previous cutscene at the teahouse...

Nothing out of the ordinary on the Sprightly Footsteps.
Was just a besieged that ended, maybe the general got captured?

We haven't had a Besieged since the servers came up, and he'd have to be non-captive for me to flag the quest, so I'm not sure what's up.

Thats what i'm trying right now. Gonna try at 16:00, 18:00, 20:00, etc.
Someone else just showed up, not working for him either.

I did the quest with a friend - she and I had all CSes so far:
1. tea house
2. Sprightly Footsteps at L-7 in Mt. Zhayolm.
3. Withered Petals at L-7 in Mt. Zhayolm.
4. warps to Aht Urhgan
5. go back
6. get Hydrangea (from where???)
7. go back to aht, talk to Shayadar, near West Gate F-8
8. go back to Mount???
9. profit????

Yup, gotta hit it at night, after 18:00 game time.

The Withered Petals didn't work at 17:55, but did work at 18:01.

Well since in the cs it says he goes out at night what time are you clicking the things in Mt Z? it could be a night time only thing since the cs clearly says he does this at night

I wonder if this is this quest's "drop item", like Colorful Hair and the others. Maybe it's from some kind of plant, like a flytrap?

It's also worth mentioning too, even though hitting them at night, you won't be able to start it unless he's in the commoner's ward and beseiged isn't on like all the other quests. ;x

Can't activate this quest for some reason - I have all the other quests done. Which general should I check for to flag the quest? or perhaps something else is wrong?

You speak with the annoying Taru BRD in the Teahouse to begin the quest, not the generals.
