After getting dumped back in whitegate, and talking to Fari-Wari, at the tea house I took a trek back to mt. zhylom

I found a "Peculiar Seed" green clickable text around the Withered Petals
Gave me the text
"There is something here that looks like an oddly shaped plant seed.
When you touch it, the seed bursts and sprays you with a shower of liquid!
Now you are covered in a scent similar to that of raw fish"

Just went with three other players and farmed a bunch of trolls in Mt. Zhayolm (past the gate), and Halvung (Just inside the zone). I didn't take any special note of what jobs the trolls we went after were. We also farmed some Erucas, Flies, Clots, and Leeches. No Hydrangea drops yet. If these are the right mobs, the drop rate isn't very good.

There was a Jpn player who farmed a bunch of Apkallu nearby, but didn't respond to our questions.

Apkallu are soloable? By some jobs. That's the only reason I can see linking to you reeking of fish... :/ Why would trolls like fish?

Just finished this quest, went 1/1 on the flower that I soloed on BLM from a Hiltroll Warrior, I have to say this quest has some of the best CS in FFXI to date.

Is it dropped off of apkallu? It wasn't confirmed like hilltroll warrior. Guess I'll go up on blm and do some real soloing instead of lolsmn.

[edit] It's probably dropped off only trolls since the apkallu/fish thing seemed to be linked to a different quest.

Just got a drop from Hilltroll Redmage. Red Mage and Warrior are only ones I was told that dropped the item, from a couple JPs in game that I teamed up with.
