    iHome/Logitech Pure-fi

Anyone have either of these and experience with them?

iHome iP9 Dual Alarm Clock Radio for iPhone and iPod (Black) - Apple Store (U.S.)

Logitech Pure-Fi Anytime Premium Alarm Clock for iPhone and iPod (Black) - Apple Store (U.S.)

these are the 99$ versions, not the 150$+

My sister has an older ihome, maybe 1yr+ old, and it's a pretty nice product aside from the fact that the remote takes like 5 presses of a button to work sometimes.

I hate my alarm clock and it seems like I could use a new one, not to mention I know someone else that could use something like this. So it would be a fitting christmas present. Since I have experience with the iHome I was leaning towards that, but Logitech seems like it would have better sound quality, as well as having a few neat features like a motion sensing snooze. Just looking for anyone who has either, or has chosen one over the other before, or even sells them.

Right now I'd probably get the iHome since I know it's decent, but for the same price, that logitech just screams buy me instead. No target or anything has both in stock so I cant play with them either. Also, these are the newest versions (i know it makes a difference) the Ihome IP9 and Pure-Fi Anytime Premium.

I own a ihome. Its quite decent, does the job but for some reason, mine doesn't work with ipod touch(not a big problem in my case as I just use my old ipod anyway).

Logitech one does seem pretty good though.

I don't own either, but have a question, can you set it to play a song from your ipod/phone @alarm? I live in the middle of nowhere and waking up to talk radio fucking sucks

If you have the ipod in it, it will wake you up to music from the ipod. You actually make an iHome playlist that it will play.

It will also play your ipod to you to sleep, gradually getting quieter until it is off.

So my sister said she doesn't use her Ihome, (ihome8), so I took it and was playing with it.

Yeah, Line-out into my computer speakers is pretty badass, since I have some nice computer speakers to begin with. Now I never need to run itunes while playing wow or anything ever again lol... Not to mention, I have a surround sound system in my room for my tv/360/ps3/wii and I can mediacenter shit through that too... thats like 10speaker setup lol.

The ipod alarm on the iHome can get loud as fuck if you want... it gradually gets louder, so if you start it loud enough, it's impossible to sleep through... not to mention using Lineout into PC for extra speakers and even more loudness. Pretty sick. Not sure if it's worth getting a new one now since she doesnt want this one, but I would recommend it to anyone else. I still want to check out that Logitech one though.
