Why is that bad? Closure is good, people walking off into the sunset and not revealing shit about their futures is annoying. I dislike the JRPG tendency to finish shit with a relatively short and vague ending, since that's the most cheap-ass way to make you not forget the starring characters anytime soon. "Did they do this? Did they go there?! Did they?! WHAT THE FUCK DID THEY DO GOD WHY WILL I NEVER KNOW!?"
If a storyline is interesting, you'll remember all of the characters who starred within it, even if they're all killed off at the end. This is actually a large reason why I love the Grandia series so much. Their endings are great. I hate it when I beat an RPG and get "treated" to three minutes of random shit before I see the credits. Lame.
