Blue Lambency Downward - Kayo Dot

Wow, I've never met anyone anywhere who's even heard of Kayo Dot. I was a HUGE Maudlin of the Well fan for many years before they changed the band into KD. I loved KDs Choirs of The Eye but was fairly unimpressed with Dowsing Anemone with Copper Tongue. I haven't had a chance to check out the new album yet.

By far one of the best albums Ive heard this year.

Also new chris brown album is good.

yeah kayo dot is in my top 5 bands i love all their albums but ive never heard the split with bloody panda

i've discovered plenty of older stuff, but i honestly can't think of anything released this year that really jumps out. the few 2008 albums i can even think of were kinda meh

i'd heard of kayo dot before but i had no idea they were connected to maudlin. for that matter i had forgotten entirely about maudlin, who i only knew existed because of their connection with yet another band (year of our lord) i was loosely connected with waaay back.
