a slight bit of sarcasm to illustrate how riots/protests are handled in Europe versus how little excuse we need to kill a man here.
The fact that police lied about the bullet ricocheting off the ground draws quite a bit of suspicion.
But regardless I'm more interested in the current state of Greek affairs- allegations of corruption and more widespread state abuse of power.
Saying molotov cocktails aren't so dangerous doesn't seem like an overreaction to me.Beckwin is the king of overreaction.
Whatever he meant with that.
Got examples of me making shit up without a shred of evidence? Because I'm pretty sure I could dig up some posts of yours about a certain cyclist.
I smell a leak.
You seem to think that if it turns out the cop who shot the kid lied about the molotov, that I'd be against some kind of legal ramifications. OH LOOK HE'S ALREADY ON THE HOOK FOR MANSLAUGHTER.
If on the other hand he's not lying about the kid holding a molotov and getting ready to throw it, I'm fully against the guy going on the block for manslaughter.
Your problem, Beckwin, is that you absolutely do not believe anybody but those who agree with you are capable of rational thought. You've got nothing to show that I would unquestioningly follow official statements on the matter at hand. Never mind that I've already shown some evidence of critical thought by not simply accepting the anarchist press release at face value and went to a semi-reputable news source in CNN for more details.
At which point you flew completely off the handle and began menstruating into the thread.
Seriously, chill out. You're not a broski getting toasted at the local bar and I didn't just step on your shoes.
Glad i'm not the only one who notices.Originally Posted by Correction

saying I don't think anyone who disagrees with me is capable of rational thought it stupid; rationalizing is easy but it's still open to criticism. and fucking lol at kuya acting like he isn't a stubborn opinionated fuck; if anything he's just as much or more of one than I am.
but maybe you and kuya should just get together, put a poster of me on the wall, and ragefuck the night away.
Good lord man.
I just said that if the cop is lying about the molotov that he should go to jail.
Now I'm just laughing at you. Seriously? Really? That's the best you have? You say a chance to bash some leftists and cradle some police nutsacks and you jumped all over it. Don't be mad just because I called you on it.
When i argue with people, i may be stubborn, but i don't make it a habit of mine to argue via burying others in a flurry of name calling because you feel anyone that doesn't agree with you must clearly be wrong. Do we forget the religion threads so quickly?and fucking lol at kuya acting like he isn't a stubborn opinionated fuck
yeah bro just play it off '-')b
btw thanks for shitting up the topic with McCarthyism just because you saw the word "comrade" in the document
I think we spend too much time with each other
Anyway, reading some comments on a different site. It somewhat annoys me how people just right out decry the riots as a bunch of teenagers who don't want to take classes, and of course they might have a point but when you notice that people use this for practically any kind of protest that anyone that is even the least bit left does, you start to wonder if it isn't just some knee jerk comment because somehow we've grown so nonchalant about the political aspects of our lives that we just rather continue our lives with as little noise as possible.
With that said, these same people always jump in with with how violence is always wrong, aside from that teenager protester comment, and though while making moral observations such as those are perfectly legitimate, simply commenting on the issue with "love and peace" is so damn coy of people who just ignore what motivations exist for these sort of actions; they're quick to decry any sort of violence, whether it be from the government or a mob, with such obvious and simple comments that aren't even worth mentioning without ever really trying to find out why these things are happening and limit themselves to saying how "Oh, that's bad". Anyway, my point is that those sort of comments devalue any sort of dissent against any sort of injustice, and replace it with this, what i believe to be popular, this gross apathy, rather than what they claim as being "peaceful".
Pretty sure that i've never seen anyone not get mad at someone else who've i've seen in this forum for long enough, but that idea should have been carried by the word habit which you ignored, and of course, you never actually said i was lying or wrong with that accusation so we can safely assume that Correction was right in saying that you pretty much fly off the handle when people disagree with you enough.
ok looks like we can have some decent discussion now.
I'm just really curious about how legit the charges being made against the Greek government are. Some quick reading indicates Greece has been marred by authoritarianism ever since WWII. In '73, one popular uprising (centered at the same university this current communique originated from, no less) against the ruling (U.S. instated) junta created a huge impact, but the ones to take advantage of it in the end were another military group who took control in a coup. Eventually things started to look a little more democratic, but I'm not so sure of the current realities.

On Topic: I had a greek friend in HS (whole family moved from there just a few years before) who said the government was very corrupt; it's basically why they left
