English only server

An English only server would be so dead, there would be nothing happening on it when night time rolls around. I have a hard enough time finding something to do between 11-3 am since all the NA went to bed and JP arent online yet.

I always liked the idea (on any game) where you take mandatory IQ test (and subsequent English test) before you're allowed to see any servers to play on. Your English skills and IQ level will let you have access to certain servers and ban you from others. In short, basically keep the stupid people on stupid servers.

It'd help FFXI and, really, it'd help many other types of online games.

Just nitpicking here but I was watching this program about kids with extraordinarily high IQ, and admittidly (spelling...) they are clever, but fuck me they are so fucking anal and you just want to kick them in the face after the program finished, I rather deal with dumb people ..

Maybe "average IQ" I suppose would work..

I'm voting yes for language specific servers, because they isolate the ignorant, uneducated bigots who are terrified to associate with people who are different from them. Good riddance!

Simple reason I voted no, international servers make players available at all hours, which is nice on a game like ffxi where you are almost always in a group situation. Sometimes my hours get odd and I like that I can still play ffxi during non EST peak hours. Also, I am highly interested in learning about other cultures, so I like being on an international server.

What would having segregated servers achieve? If you're on the same server they may not PT with you. If you're on a server, they won't PT with you.

And there is ENonly on the servers. We just don't know it because we all speak the fucking god damn language.

Plus, I like around the clock servers. Makes sure that we keep stuff going while they're sleeping and vise versa.

See, smart people took the time to think. They gained intelligence and knowledge. They felt better about themselves. This does tend to grow the ego, especially when they come into contact with dumb people. They get frustrated by dumb peoples' inability to learn concept they consider simple.

Dumb people are thus put off, and begin to hate intellectualism. It only takes a few smart people, to make everyone else not want to be smart because of the egotism.

Thus, most everyone else is kept dumb, which is fine for the few who want people to be dumb sheep. Thus, we get George Bush and his raping of your wallet and your rights.

I used to hate dumb people, too. Those who wouldn't take the time to find out what's really going on in the world. But now, I see they really don't care, so I might as well just take advantage of their stupidity. That's how the human race operates! =)

Yeh this is true. Those kids were fucking retarded to their parents who literally bent over for them (Dad giving up job to educate the child more, another family moving across the country for their kid but the kid is (while clever) an asshole either way).

I now find that if I encounter anyone dumb, I act dumb as well. I temporarly "level sync" (haha) with them and operate on their thinking, while keeping a conscious level of mind knowing how I can use/outsmart/help them. This is somewhat true to my IT Support job where you (and you can't deny it) encounter dumb people. It helps me with these people, and the moment my back is turned or they're out of range I mouth all sorts of profanity out.
