What was it on for anyways? None of our cats had to wear them after spay or neutering, thought that was more of a dog thing.

The vet gave us the collar after spaying. I'm not sure how much it helped though.

I got the antenna for my cat too when we got him neutered (sp) Reason was so he doesn't lick himself and open the wound

Got a new cat today, the cat I've had the last 8 years is to the best of my knowledge part Nebelung, she's the perfect cat to me and I wanted to find another one to go with her, but it turns out they're show cats and purebred kittens go for like $2k...turns out the shelter 20 minutes away has had an adult male since 2008 who looks and acts a whole lot like a Nebelung(the shortness of his tail fur makes me question if he actually is one or just a mix), he's the same age as our current so we went and scooped him up today:

God the amount of sweeping and brushing you must do to keep that fur in check...

Yeah, he's a bit matted from the shelter so I have to snip some fur off, but I already am used to brushing the first one daily so just routine-wise I'm good for it.

He acts exactly like the other cat so assuming they get along well this will be awesome, my other cat is being a bit of a bhole so far.

My dog found a good way to stop the sun from interfering with her nap yesterday (iPad photo so it's not great quality).

Yeah not even close. My mother owns two Maine Coons, they're beautiful animals but soooo much fur.

Our entire downstairs is white ceramic tile so we literally get like these tumbleweeds of white fur that you don't even really notice until you're cleaning. I swear he grows hair just to shed it and make a mess everywhere. We have to vacuum all of the furniture once a week and it literally fills the bin in the vacuum up with just cat hair.

Gave the new guy a bath and brushed about 5 lbs of fur off of him and trimmed off most the matting from the collar he had on at the shelter, but having trouble getting the pee smell off him(poor guy peed himself on the ride home from the shelter). He's at least nice and fluffy now.

New cat is getting along shockingly well already, he's got some biting/scratching issues that we need to get him to calm down on, but he already acts right at home and gets along with my first cat:
