Tank has 3 White Mickey Mouse Platy, 1 Sunset Platy, 4 Cardinal Tetras, and a Common Pleco. And now the 2 fry. And yes, even freshwater will bleed your wallet dry. Been wanting to do a 20gal reef tank, but the costs just way above what I can do right now.

Yea fish are expensive. I just upgraded to a 65 gallon tank I got off Craigslist. I have a cichlid tank and it is still expensive. I really want a saltwater tank like you but every time I mention it my girlfriend yells at me because "We don't have that kind of money" lol

And for whoever asked me about backup power situation. I have 2 circulation pumps on automatic battery back ups. For the rest of the tank I have a 5500 Watt Generator. When I move to the new place we will have a whole house propane generator.

cats can change quite a lot with age and even antisocial onces can act normal after a year or so with another animal but it's not guaranteed

I used to have a very shy cat, he'd been abused and we got him as a rescue. We just let him do his thing while we did ours, and eventually he realised we weren't going to hurt him and started coming to us to be stroked or sit on your lap. I think with cats the positive reinforcement trick doesn't work quite as well as with dogs, so it's more of a slow burner technique you have to adopt to socialise them.

My cat is the type that will sit in the corner one second, and then do a little ninja flip onto your shoulder to give you a quick nip before he runs under the bed for an hour...spastic much? I love him though, and we plan on getting a new one soon. I'll post pictures of the mean bastard up shortly.

You need to socialize it with other cats a lot as a kitten. The sooner the better.
