Is he out hiking with you in the last picture? I've seen those packs before and considered one for mine since I've heard they help to give them a sense of doing a job, but we're never really out long enough to merit bringing water and supplies, lol

That Doby looks awesome. My dad used to have a pair and he says they're the best dogs he's ever had.. and he's owned Airdales, Great Danes, Yorkies, Retrievers, and a few others I'm probably missing.

That's a freaking adorable picture. Puppies are hilarious; they will just crash mid-stride and end up sleeping for three hours.

I quit throwing his toy for him in the first picture, so he found a log and brought that back to me instead. In the second one, it was a hike that lasted a few hours, but it wasn't some day-long extravaganza. It was really hot outside though (95+ degrees), so frequent water breaks are pretty much a necessity. He absolutely loves that pack though. He starts bucking around the living room like a horse if he sees me pick it up.

Resued him from our local RSPCA, not sure on his age or past but he hates bangs, fireworks etc. Also has had a couple of fits in the past and he hates going a walk, meh! He will go but it has to be very early in the morning! >_<

No wonder you like Doberman's so much lol That's awesome, my dog, who IS a black lab, only recently started swimming, but it was hilarious to watch him swim out a little, turn around until he could touch, swim out a little more and repeat lol

I'll have to check out one of those packs just in case, we've had to cut a few walks short this summer just because of how ridiculously fucking hot it's been getting.

Those and Border collies are my absolute favorite dogs. If I ever own a house with a yard and a wife that likes dogs i'm insisting on getting a border collie.

He really does. He doesn't require any grooming like my first Aussie did and he hardly sheds either.

Her breeder had her ears cropped a little over a week ago. The front edge of the ear is taped to a styrofoam cup to keep them up, out of the way, and clean while they heal. She has tiny scabs on the tip of each ear (less than 1/2" on both sides) that I'm waiting on. Once they fall off, I'll take off her cup hat. Until then, she has to look like a total goober.
