I wanna get a cat soon, probably going to the animal rescue shelters within the next 2 weeks to find one that's gentle, not too playful, and short haired so it doesn't leave crap everywhere like my cousin's medium haired one did.
Only problem I have is my alarm system. Anyone else have house alarms + pets ? I heard there's features on alarms that ignore pets or something, sounds a bit odd to me. I still want my alarm on but I don't wanna have the damn thing go off if my future cat decides to jump around the house
I could always keep it outdoors I guess.
That cat looks like a watermelon with a little cat head attached
So I'm taking care of my girlfriend's cat Toast this week while she's up in the Yukon visiting a friend for Christmas. Given that he's only seven or so months old, he's pretty adventurous and has so far found the sinks at my place the most facinating things in my apartment. Seriously, after I do the dishes he sits on the counter just staring at the drain like he's waiting for prey to emerge.
I also found a picture of him from back in August, only about a month after we got him which probably only made him about 2-3 months old. I've got big feet (size 12-13) but if he was totally limp we could have put him completely inside the shoe.
These two are from today. I was just at my computer, playing some WoW, and I heard this weird metalic clanging from my kitchen - I though he was playing with my hanging pots and pans by the sink. No, turns around he got himself up into the hardest to reach shelf. Toast is getting bigger, but I think he's probably going to never exceed 12 or 15 lbs. Given that he seems to be some kind of mix of balinese, old siamese (not the freaky new ones), and tabby - he's got very dark brown stripes in his fur - he's pretty much always going to be lean.
Parents' dog after that huge storm that went through Michigan, I'm glad I'm far enough south it mostly missed me
Also I can't help but look at it and think "Not sure if want", damn internet
this is sam... he hangs around my dock and eats fish i throw to him (if i'm fishing). so i guess he's considered a pet. pic is enormous >.< forgot camera settings
