Played with pudge the other night before i went to bed, i just layed down watching tv while he brings me a frisbee to throw down the stairs.
This is how he slept.
My dog does something similar, he brings me a tennis ball that I throw out the door and down the stairs and he runs after it, gets it, brings it back, and repeat.
After like 5 times he just passes out on the bed.
I wish my dog fetched more than twice. After the third throw, she gives me a look like: "why the fuck do you keep throwing my toy out of the room?" and goes about her business.
My damn dog won't STOP playing fetch. He keeps going for 5-6 hours straight. Here's the ball daddy! Throw it! Again! Again! Again!
ARRRGH!!!! Leave me alone!!!
Most hyper Yorkshire Terrier ever. Love my George.
My kitten brings me toy balls to throw all the time, or milk tabs. He's pretty crazy about playing fetch. Or when he really wants to play he will drag his fishing pole toy to me.
Pfft, be grateful, our dog (just like her predecessor) will never, ever bring the toy back. She finds it much more fun to chase the toy down, grab it, then goad you into chasing her to get it back.
If you don't, she comes and presses the toy against your leg, but the moment you try to reach for it she pulls away just out of reach, again and again until you're chasing her and she puts on her justasplanned face.
Never has either dog been willing to just chase it and bring it back, it's like they're only having fun when they get to feel superior by eluding you.
my first dog was the same he would go get the ball and then never bring it back.. growing up i was like omg all i want my dog to do is play fetch.. so yeah i've been in both places. it is overall a cool thing my dog like playing fetch now but it gets tiresome.. well maybe tiresome is the wrong word, it begins to irritate you after a long time
what breed do you have? some breeds will just not play fetch like most Akitas, my dog growing up was half Samoyed and I'm pretty sure that's why he wouldn't do it
This is exactly what my Malamute constantly does. Pushing toys on me, and as soon as I reach for it, she grabs it and tries to play keep away or tug. So annoying.
I wish she would play fetch so I could get some energy out of her without having to exhaust myself in the process. Occasionally, she'll fetch shit that we throw down into the backyard (down a set of stairs), which is the easiest way to tire her out. However, she gets bored of that real quick and simply stops chasing anything and proceeds back to bringing me random other toys instead of getting the ones sitting at the bottom of the stairs.
lol my dog loves tug of war too but still plays fetch. often while playing fetch he wants to tug of war until i win wanting me to throw it again. We just make him drop the toy and back off and sit before we will pick it up to throw it again to control the not wanting to play tug of war shit, he'll wait til you go for it and go for it at the same time though even after we make him sit
This is what my dog does when he wants something. Food. Ball. Treat. Outside. Walk. Etc.
The corgi stare will steal your soul.

Actually he used to be really crazy about bringing us the ball constantly but that pretty much stopped once we got the second dog to keep him busy lol.
Yay, soft food time!
Feed me, or else.
Lap warmers.
