Casey Anthony is undeniably one of the most unloved names in the news as of late. Unfortunately for one Darby, Pa. man -- he bears that name.

Forty-three-year-old Casey Anthony has lived his life proud of his name. Then came along the highly publicized Casey Anthony who was acquitted of killing her 2-year-old daughter by a jury -- but convicted by public opinion.

“After the verdict that day, it went crazy,” Anthony told NBC Philadelphia’s Marisa Brahney. “It was like everybody wanted to know and wanted to comment on this Casey Anthony situation.”

Strangers began bombarding Anthony last week on Facebook, with hundreds of friend requests, messages, wall posts, and -- because his profile included his number -- phone calls.

“[They were] making comments about the verdict; who am I to take a child’s life,” Anthony said. “And then I’m sitting back like, excuse me? I’m not the Casey Anthony you think.”

After the first few Florida area-code phone calls came in, Anthony just stopped answering his phone.

Anthony is not the only one suffering for the name he bears. He has two sons that also have the name Casey Anthony.

“It went from being comical and scary to just being outright, make you mad as--you know,” Anthony told NBC Philadelphia. Cause these people don't even know you, they don't have a clue."

Apparently, now is not a good time to be a brunette woman in your mid-20s. Why, you ask? It turns out you might be mistaken for Casey Anthony. And there might be lunatics out there doing their best to kill you.

Sound far-fetched? It's already happened. A woman named Sammay Blackwell of Chouteau, Oklahoma, was just finishing her nightly shift at a convenience store when she first met Shireen Nalley. A half-hour later when her shift ended at 10:30, Blackwell left in her Nissan pickup.

Unfortunately for Blackwell, Nalley had been waiting for her to leave, and she followed her out of the parking lot. A short time alter, Nalley rammed Blackwell's truck with her Chrysler minivan, and later collided with it again, causing Blackwell's truck to flip several times, landing on the driver's side.

Fortunately, Blackwell escaped without serious injury, and Nalley was later apprehended by the police. The reason she gave for trying to kill Blackwell? According to the attacker, she looked like Casey Anthony and she was "trying to save the children."

Salley is currently being held in jail, and police say there was evidence she was under the influence of drugs when they took her in. As a final indignity, Blackwell says that Nalley's insurance company is claiming it's not liable for damages if its client caused the accident on purpose.

Although Blackwell says she doesn't really look like Casey Anthony in any meaningful way, there is one coincidence: Blackwell has a young daughter named Caylee. Check out a video from the reporting Oklahoma news station after the break.

Well, the wording is a bit weird. The PI states the attorney admitted it. The PI also says Anthony and her attorney were fucking. Me thinks he's looking for a cash grab interview.

I thought you could retry somebody if sufficient new evidence is found? Like that OJ simpson knife, for instance; could he be retried if they find DNA on it, etc?

Only exceptions I know off of offhand is different courts. Like military can still hold trials over civilian cases for military members and I think state and federal can try for the same crime. And of course there is civil court

Also I think you might be able to try someone for something similar but not the exact same offense. So I'm no lawyer but I believe if they had originally gone for something like negligent homicide they would be allowed to try for murder with new evidence

Well it also works this way, but not ONLY that way.

So let's say you are found guilty of manslaughter. Even if they find evidence later that it was premeditated, they can't go back and then try to upscale the charge to murder. You were already tried and convicted of the manslaughter. Their fault for not filing the correct charges (If they don't think they can win, they'll just try to charge you with the highest tier prime that they can prove rather than to try for the murder charge and get a not guilty)

I doubt it considering this new evidence would prove that wasn't the case. And not completely sure how different the charges have to be like they could just count all homicides as similar enough for double jeopardy.

Pretty much this. Would have to be a completely new crime. Can't just go "Oh I didn't get murder 1st degree. Let's try them for murder 2nd degree. Oh we lost that okay let's file for murder 3rd degree. Damn still failed? Criminal negligence it is!"
