So basically Onimaru and Hagun are the same thing is what you all are saying here outside of Tachi: Rana. I really don't get it here I mean I sound noob here probably but really. I just got into an egls cross server and if I were to sell my hagun I don't really want to be laughed at for switching back to Oni. But here I am sitting on 100k and I really need some gil. Have no idea what to farm here on Diabolos really. but will check this post out more often
1 hit WS don't automatically cap at 95% accuracy, it is a fixed amount that's added to the first hit of every WS, the specific amount was tested to be at least 70 accuracy. The reason that we know that it doesn't automatically cap is that most of the time when mob does evasion up move or you get flashed, there is a big chance that you will miss your 1 hit WS, and that's not just from eyeballing.
This was tested on Alla sam forum a long time ago.

so, what is his take? he doesn't think that there is a ACC bonus to the first hit of the WS lol?
<.< Go back and read that thread again. They say it's at least 70 ACC from that blagger test. There's no hint of a ceiling there because he's still capping his WS ACC on the blagger.
Evasion up doesn't seem to affect it as lots of people parse over 95% WS ACC on mamools even while WSing during warmup. Flash and blind applied to you do seem to degrade first-hit WS ACC... but yes, all the conclusions I've seen in this category come from eyeballing.
Again, I don't know how you read my post but we are basically in the same school of thought, that first hit of any WS has a very very large ACC bonus, that is measured at least 70 accuracy, and perhaps way more than that, but it doesn't automatically cap your accuracy, it is just that very likely, when you are not flashed, or blinded, or mob having evasion up move up, you are going to cap it.
You state that WS ACC is not auto capped, then you link me to a thread that has no data demonstrating uncapped WS ACC. You then continue to wax poetic about mob buffs and debuffs on the player dragging down your WS ACC... you say it's not from eye-balling, but you don't give any supporting evidence.
Honestly, I don't believe ACC auto-caps either. I'm just claiming it does until someone can show it false (so far, Weeks proposed the best test.. but still no hard data). Even though it sounds like a fantastic overstatement, it's not as easy to disprove as most people think.
Candidates for dragging down first hit WS ACC:
Player Debuffs (blind/flash)
Mob buffs (warm up, wind wall)
Large level difference (lvl 1 char in beseiged)
These things are all simply possibilities as things stand now. Tests need to be performed to confirm/eliminate them as potential 1-hit WS ACC hazards. Outside of these things, I see no reason for 1-hit WS ACC to uncap.
If you (or anyone else) succeed in identifying a proper 1-hit WS ACC hazard, then you also have to prove that adding ACC to your WS gear will increase your hit rate under that circumstance in order for the information to be useful.
The reason it is not tested in large sample is due to the fact that those situations are rare. However, if you put together a million of small samples, you can sort of get an idea. The fact that a few time my ls did Suzaku with lazy mages who don't dispel, the parse result showed uncapped WS acc for the whole alliance (talking about 60-75% here), and again, the sample can't be too big. I mean how many WS are you going to do on a single Suzaku? If those small smaple size tests can't prove anything, that's all we can get honestly in those situations. Another example is puk flash, even with eyeballing, your eye can't be so bad that you don't notice you miss 75% of the time when you WS right after it flashes. And again, how are you going to have a big sample on that through parse result?
The fact of the matter is, you can go try WS when mobs have high evasion buff and notice a drop on the acc (though small sample over and over again), and yet there is no way that you can prove to the others with those samples. That's why I said my observation isn't from eyeballing, but from a zillion of small sample parse results.
In addition, posting the link is to show that there is indeed a huge ACC bonus to first hit of any WS, and that is really to point out to those who don't believe the theory. If you read the thread through, you can tell that they never did test it with blind potion. So if it hasn't been proved that it auto caps, what led you to think that is the case. Either way it was not proved.
And yea, lvl 30 sam try to fight lvl 75 mob and ws it 100 time will be a good start, to see if he can cap it, tho getting TP would be a pain.
