No Plans Watch: Sony Have "No Plans" For A PSP2
Sony possibly getting out of the portable market?
Good, I can save my money, for something else. PSP is good enough for me, for now.
I've never been a big fan of handheld systems. Upsets me to see quite a few games go to them though, as it tempts me to buy a handheld system.
Those pics looked cool. I am guessing that is a fan made pic? If they actually did make a system like that I would be tempted to buy. Looks easy to break / scratch though.
Good.
No more listening to Sony Execs blame their users when hardware defects become well-known.
Saw this yesterday, all I can say is im glad. Shame FF7CC was wasted on it.
CC is a piece of shit. Also, bitches be hatin' da PSP.
I like the PSP, it's much better than the DS. Hanheld super nintendo's are whats up.
Since the DS has been ruling over the PSP forever -- recent increased PSP sales are nearly meaningless considering the size of the DS's userbase -- this isn't surprising at all.
The only reason I'd ever want a PSP is for Megaman Maverick Hunter X/Powered Up, Metal Gear Portable Ops and Dissidia.
this is good news to me. No longer will some companies make big titled games for the PSP because they know the can lower their production values and still sellmas many units. Let's hope the shift goes towards console games instead of the DS now.
Ps: bring the new DS to the states now! Or make em w/o the region lock!
Why do a lot of people think this means Sony is dropping out of the handheld market? It just means they're not thinking about another one right now.
I still don't think games are taking the PSP to its full potential.. what would be the point of making a PSP2?
I like my PSP, although good games seem to be few and far between. Tales of Eternia, Jeanne D'arc, Legend of Heroes 1/2/3, and MGS PO were all a lot of fun for me. Although on the other hand, the Nintendo Handheld that will take over completly will get all the new games (so I can save some $$)
I'm also sick of the handheld market taking seemingly a large number of potential console titles, scaling them down in graphics for the sake of budget, and basically giving those of us who don't travel and actually like not squinting at a screen and hearing crappy speakers a choice in the matter. Even when I am on the road, I'm usually the one driving so it's not like I could play, anyway.
Wise choice I suppose. Handheld market seems to be a little to small for Sony and Nintendo out there.
I don't know what the hell is going through some of your minds, but all this means is that sony isn't going to be a piece of shit and release a new handheld once every 2-3 years to steal your money.
