So should someone make a "SE please read this" topic and list the things that the player base has 0 knowledge about and will never figure out? IE AA

A) You can, people don't. My server loses besieged every time it hits level 8 because people don't care. That said, I'm not sure why you included this. Saying that you can don both just means that people can still choose to do besieged even if skill-ups are available.
B) I was not referring to the 3-5 level gaps that occur as a natural part of leveling up. Those don't even necessitate any kind of effort on the player's part, they come as a by-product of what the player does naturally. I thought it was obvious since we were talking about skilling-up as an event unto itself that the subject was large, detrimental gaps between actual skill and capped skill.
C and D I'll answer together. First of all, Level Sync is cutting corners? I was led to believe it was a feature added by SE for getting XP, and a very successful one.
Secondly, I don't RP, so "testing my skills in battle" I suppose means something different to me than it does to you. However, since you've taken that tact, I'll roll with it. One can only cap one's skills up to the equivalent of level 55 on fortifications. after which one must move on to the actual monsters of a campaign battle. Certainly a better "test of your skills," than the easy prey crabs people skill-up on currently.
Finally, I'm not bitching. This doesn't effect me in any way. I have no skills that need raising and my jobs could solo them if I did. I was only using it as an example of a trend SE's thinking that I disagree with.
Besieged has not fallen into obscurity, so it obviously has not been replaced.
You misunderstand when I mention exp parties. You must join exp parties in order to prevent skills from fallen behind in the first place, not use them to skill up(though that would be accomplished naturally). Roughly the same thing for Level Sync which purposes was never to allow you to level as a lower level, but level with people who are low level.
When I say skill ups parties it could really mean anything that works like above but without the intention of gaining exp.
Saying skill ups should be easier to gain seems like something beyond Campaign. Maybe they should make levels easier to gain too?
The funny thing was how they responded to the blu question.
They were like "duh, it gives accuracy just like it says in the description" in the tone and the way they responded. They really didn't see that it was obscure as to wtf potency meant. They thought it was very clear.
Ah, I see, because I would like mid level players(who are essentially being punished for using a feature SE implemented as SE intended) and jobs that solo poorly to have the same options for skill-ups as 75 jobs that solo well, I want to dumb the game down.
As for Besieged, what would a fall into obscurity even mean in the context of a feature in an MMO?
EF, garrison, chocobo, etc, etc, etc
Pankration would have been dead too, but ZNM give it a new life by making it a mandatory inconvenience.
Seems like SE is working in reverse. Whereas most smart MMO devs would start from making low levels enjoyable, then go to end game content once lower levels are finished. SE decided to do whatever it is to end game content, now, nearly 7 years later they are making leveling up slightly bearable.
Also adding idiotic events in the process.
They probably look at Western MMO planning book and read it japanese style.
Would explain a fuckton of things in them being completely backward on everything they do.
"1% Magical Critical Hit" ~= 0.2 INT or 0.4 MAB average damage boostQ: What is magical critical hit?
A: Critical hits will not appear in the log, but players will notice magic will do more damage, a nice surprise. It is something we want to add to more items in the future.
For instance, +1 INT on a Bugard Strap +1 is superior to +3% Critical Hit on Wise Strap.
For anyone that reads this and doesn't understand what it actually does.
A good interview and it seems they got questions from endgame players. GJ![]()
Gods above, has the person who originally asked that been beaten yet?A: (laughs from the team) In a previous interview, a gentlemen had a request from a young child from the Make A Wish Foundation. The child asked if we could make a Bee Mage.
I never want to hear the term 'bee mage' ever again.
Thank you for doing a real interview and shedding light on issues that people actually care about. I realize they didn't answer the AV or AA question, but at the same time they once again mentioned that if shit like this is continually brought up then they'll have to work on it.
BEST INTERVIEW EVER MADE
now to the Premier sites to stirr up PvP and 20-line macro threads!
Chocobo Raising(or Racing? either or) doesn't require other players so it can't really die. Conflict and Conquest require other people and are very dead for the most part(Ballista basically on life support: Japanese 60 cap). Garrison is mostly dead, nothing is really stopping you from doing it really, only takes like 6 people. Pankration seems pointless without competition, but can remain "alive" because it has 1 player content.
So basically it seems that the only reason to participate in MMM aside from being able to get most likely mediocre amounts of exp and skillups (which are already available in greater quantities in older zones) is that you can trade in marbles for stat-less, aesthetically-pleasing pieces of gear?
Fuck right off.
Sorry guys, I can't OP to Dynamis tonight. I don't have the 200gil required for the outpost warp.
Sundi looks so out of place again in that photo.
