You really should have asked if they plan on releasing info on killing AV the right way as a follow up to the zerg question. That way they have to answer with something, even if it is maybe at a later time or not at all, but at least we get something. Having it all one question let them rant about zerging and let them feel like they gave an answer to the question. It's possible they didn't even get that part of the question as sometimes people just hear the first part of something and start answering. Someone should also ask whatever happened to them implementing an item to enfeeble AV as they mentioned last year.I really did tryQ: Absolute Virtue. What were your reactions when the version update came and linkshells began zerging it. Obviously that was not the planned way to kill it. Are there any plans to give us new information on killing it the intended way?It was tough because we were given an hour and we basically would just go down the line and ask our questions (there were 4 of us)... so I could ask a question about AV and then the subject matter could change entirely with the next question. That's why I kinda had to toss it all at them at once. =/
What are you talking about? They could simply make you earn skill ups on IT-IT++ creatures. As long as it took the same amount of time to skill up in level sync and campaign then why would it be abused? Your worry doesn't make much sense it wouldn't any easier than getting skill ups while exping regularly. In theory you could get power leveled but how is that any different than having a person dual box a Rdm while their Mnk maxes guard.
im sorry, did someone just say that skillups were hard to get?
cause you know.
steelshells.
its not like these mobs are much harder than sand lizards when they're EM
I don't think anyone's saying that skill ups are hard. To me it just seems pointless to stop players from skilling up in level sync and campaign. It's just a waste of time to have to do the skill ups separately and there's already so much stuff you have to do while leveling a job.
SE tends to takes 2 steps forward and one step backwards. Level sync and campaign were designed specifically to make the game more friendly to the casual player so why should they not make things easier? There's no real reason to force players to skill up it doesn't make better players it's simply time sink and that's specifically what destroys the concept behind features that are meant to make leveling easier. I really think that this is a fight between the directors/marketing of the game vs the retard developers that want us to play the game the way they want.
my argument was actually for that,
forgive me. i fail at persuasion
All this argument about skillups just makes me glad I capped all my weapons as a 75 WAR and thus, require minimal to no skillups on other jobs if I level them.
But yeah, a low risk way of skilling up outside of putting together a skillup party which can be a pain sometimes would be much welcomed.
How about a way to skillup defensive skills without dying SE?
There. I fixed Ninja for you.Originally Posted by SE
Yeah,. GJ on making SCH not overlap with BLM at all!We also have to make sure no two jobs overlap in the game.
Since players almost certainly frown upon skilling up in exp parties/events, and the developers frown upon skill ups in Campaign/Level-Sync, and Besieged is inhospitable for players below a certain level, that leaves only skill-up oriented parties.
I wonder what it is about skill up parties that the devs feel are so integral to the game that they simply refuse to allow skill ups in Campaign and Level-Sync. The eventual extinction of skill-up parties would mean practically nothing(save for increased Camapign attendance/Level Sync frequency), as far as I can see.
