Why do people think the aftermaths would work differently on other weapons, when they're all written the same way?

It is not that bad.
With dynamis currency there is an upper limit to how much currency can be generated at any given time since each dynamis zone can only have one linkshell in it at a time.
With alex, there is no upper limit really. The good shells are already doing more than one run a day with small groups. In a few years you will see pickup parties doing salvage once a day and alex will be incredibly cheap when you consider how few people can accomplish the other requirements.
The first few mythics have and will be difficult as people continue to overrate the weapons, but in time I bet the alex requirement will not be such a big deal.
Mark this post and tell me if I am wrong in two years, but I doubt I will be.
oh god i laughed... and then i laughed some more... but it was a bitter laugh it's just such vintage SE, and totally matches the way they've been acting for 4-5 years now about this game... i'm so glad they don't get my $13.95 anymore.
i'm really sorry for all of you that spent a lot of time working on these, and congrats jackyl.
now, anyone who wants to come play Warhammer, PM me XD
The Atonement thing actually works pretty well for most fights, you'd be surprised. Most our main PLDs in demo do it.
now, are you sure on HNMs that a large +Acc (assuming it's large) wouldn't increase tp gain as much?
I've been tanking with Joyeuse lately as well. PLD/NIN, sushi and Atonement yields some nice hate holding as well as damage output.
Plus it's an excuse for me to use shadow breastplate.
Grats Jackyl, don't listen to all these old ladies bickering at each other. Remember, not everyone that plays FFXI is playing the same game folks, some people don't care about maximum DoT and damage, or TPing in accuracy rings.
Might allow for pld to eat taco instead of sushi and maintain a decent hit rate, but still losing the DA rate.
And to Niki:
I dont camp ground kings anymore, but I still fight the other 99% of the mobs in the game and know which I would and wouldnt want to feed TP too. And just because I dont camp kings -anymore-, doesnt mean i havent killed them many many times and have experience with every one of them. I just dont have any use for them anymore, nor the interest to waste my time on mediocre rewards.
Just because your plds dont utilize this tool, eat tacos on everything, melee in valhalla full time(from what ive seen in the SSs).. doesnt mean it is the best thing to do for emnity. Unless you are low manning things, a pld should be able to get away with sushi/joytoy atonement spam on almost everything.
With an approximate 45% rate of double attack, lets assume a base ACC of 50%, and the old 2 ACC = 1 % applies linearly...
200 attacks yields 290 with Joyeuse, at 50% ACC is 145 hits.
200 attacks yields... 200 attacks with Burt, with 72.5% ACC is 145 hits
22.5% ACC is needed to bridge the gap at 50% ACC. That's +45 ACC, higher than we've seen on any weapon.
Lets try at lower ACC
400 attacks yields 580 with Joyeuse, at 25% ACC is 145
145 / 400 = 36.25% ACC needed with Burt to be equal
11 * 2 = +22 ACC needed to bridge the gap
Conclusion
As ACC increases, the multi-hit is more viable... You need to be at extremely low accuracy numbers for it to be more viable than joyeuse for TP gain.
SE: Dear Dynamis Relic holders,
Scared ya didn't we?
Ha ha, Love

So....300TP = Saber Dance for melees?
It depends, I had mentioned in another thread that it might allow you to use defensive food instead of sushi and still maintain a decent hitrate. Typically if you're going to utilize Atonement spam you'd use something like Dorado Sushi instead of Tacos/Pescatora. But even still, Burtgang has a relatively high delay, you can idle in several Acc pieces, and it takes a lot of hitrate increase to make up for a 50% DA effect.
