Yeah absolutely worth knowing. As the weapons stand, (assuming they all follow the same rules, which they probably do), if you took away the alex requirement completely, and maybe 1 other, like the ZNM items, then i'd be on board with the weapons a little more. Right now though, the reward for the work isnt worth it.

That is the same reasoning as to why botting is now pretty much accepted on BG. If you do something wrong and people talk about it too much then it's ok?

Not trying to say that duping is the same as botting or any other judgement, just refuting the fact that getting bored with other people talking about something somehow makes it ok.

My philosophy is that I can tell you why it's bad until I'm blue in the face- but why should you care what I think? I don't give a shit about your opinion, why should you care about mine? Moral arguments here are wasted, there is very little mutual respect between posters. Even then, it takes more than some respect to sway people's way of thinking and habits.

But alas, tainted am I, for having friends who bot and steal and cheat and lie and duped. I argued a lot with them that it wasn't worth it! Wasn't worth a single cotton-picking minute of all that "hazardous" stuff. Pure naivety. No matter how often you tell people cheating is wrong and detracts from the game; they'll still pop in the Game Genie and hit up those infinite lives.

I have not the audacity to turn around with tail between my legs and participate in something I so chastised, however, so that's worth a few dollars in moral monopoly money, eh?

If you're not having fun maybe it's because you're in a HNMLS that treats the game like boot camp. I do whatever I want to do when i log on. I don't have to report to anyone and i have fun.
