I have a question. I haven't tanked anything worthwhile on my RDM, also, I've never had enough support to halve my recasts, so my question relates to Callisto saying his shadows are hadly ever down.
1) Do you wait for the third shadow to go down before recasting? Iow, no overlaps, ever? I'm asking because to me that seems like the best way since you can get ichi off in time with FC anyway and you want to bridge the gap between the two recasts.
2) Theoretically, vs an elegy'd mob, with normal attack speed and (for the sake of argument) no double-attack or physical aoe's, could you keep shadows up indefinitely with halved recasts?
Bonus question: do you let SS run through all of the absorbing potential before recasting? Or do you try to estimate when it's about to run out and re-apply before you take any damage? Seems like a trade-off between safety/enmity-lost and MP conservation. Do you maybe keep a standard hit-count per mob type, let's say you recast SS every two hits on one mob and every 3 hits on another?
