Base marbles for V06 is 40 with no runes. Taking more people makes this maze easier, but might take some practice runs to get used to it.
Recommended runes:
016: -3 marbles (helps avoid detection from mobs in maze)
103: +3 marbles (amnesia. I avoid the silence from rune 104 since I go whm/rng)
07x: +2 marbles (shouldn't affect the difficulty of the maze)
113: -1 marbles (places a shortcut in maze. not essential, but very nice to have)
Other runes you'll see from duplidoc:
001-011: +4 marbles each (mob family runes add mobs to the maze)
amorph/demon/arcana/dragon mob family runes. Each adds +4 marbles in exchange for adding mobs to the maze. I wouldn't recommend these until you have some practice unless that is all Duplidoc has to offer. If these runes are present you'll have to be more patient/careful, but have an extra person or two should help you out.
I go as whm/rng for poisona/erase/invis and widescan, all very handy to have. And I take a reraise earring in case of death.
For Voucher 06 definately get one with 016 on it from duplidoc.
Avoid rune 098 (Insurance Contract) as that dramatically cuts marble output.
My suggestion would be to have rune 103 (amnensia) but not 104 (Trail by Silence) unless no one is going as a mage or has a mage sub (I personally go sch/whm).
Then have 002, 009, 010 (+4 each). These add more flans, dolls, and ahriman respectively. 011 adds a 2nd dragon but this adds too much trouble for my liking.
Then have runes 072, 074, 076 as these enhance the mobs defensive stats and so gives them no relevant bonus.
Any of the other 07x runes will generally enhance the mobs offensive ability which you don't really want to do, because you will get seen by the mobs every now and then, but it can be easy to lose aggro if you have the sachets on you. Having these runes on though is not that bad, compared to having an extra dragon roaming around.
On my own current maze, I have rune 094 (Lost and Found) to help collect some of the hoardbox runes, but this reduces marbles slightly.
I tried 113 out a few times, but found it doesn't really help.
As for the Maze itself, there are 6 types of mobs inside.
Flans which are true sight aggro. If they see you they will often try to cast something on you and then will chase you. Use a sachet of bugs to lose them.
Dolls are also true sight aggro and magic aggro, and can hit hard. They'll start chasing you immediately, but again use a sachet of bugs to lose them.
Ahriman are true sight aggro too, and if they catch you they'll send you to jail (I'll mention more on this later). Use sachet of Wood to hide to from it, but this costume will immobilize you while you wear it.
The Dragon is true sound, and if he catches you, make sure you find a safe place to die or it's pretty much over for you. No costume will help lose aggro from him.
There is also a goblin digger running around with additional effect bind. Use invisible to get past him since costumes don't work.
Lastly guarding the exit to the jail is a Gigas, who is easy to pass. Just run behind him.
The aim is to return the contents of 3 papetrie (6 if trial by numbers is on) to Filtchaflix.
My general strategy to soloing this maze is to get the Eau de Moblin, Bugs, and Wood, off Filtchaflix, and then head down the right path to see if there's anything at the end of the bridge. Randomly there can be an Ahriman going up and down the bridge. If there is one, I generally try to run past him when he's at the far end of the bridge. Movement speed helps in the maze. If he's seen me, once I reach the end, I let it catch me and send me to jail. This puts me right at the back of the maze. Cast erase to get rid of bind, and then run behind the gigas to the exit.
Check the ladder to pick up any sachet of bugs or wood that you may have used. I then take the left path to check for papetries until I come to the area under the bridge. I turn right down the middle path and head back toward the jail. Once back to the ladder, I turn back and go down the right path and keep hugging the right wall until I reach a dead end. Maybe I should say that you can carry as many items as you pick up but each extra item weighs you down until you're at walking speed (You can only carry one of each item though). Anyway, then I turn back and head down the right path, back to the area under the bridge, and then climb the stairs. Keep an eye out for the dragon as this is where you'll most likely encounter him. I've normally seen him by this point so I know where approximately it is, but If I haven't seen him I keep watch as it usually means it's up in the tunnel ahead. I also cast invis on myself as the Goblin digger is also usually on the stairs or in the tunnel at the top. If you see Dragon, use the Eau de moblin before it sees you. This will freeze all mobs (as long as they haven't seen you) for 30 seconds, but if you die at any point you'll lose this item.
If you haven't found all the papetries at this point, take the left path and search down the tunnels there, otherwise turn right, and then basically head back to the start.
If you have extra people with you send whoever got the eau de moblin to search from the back of the maze, while the others start from the front. Extra stuff you find can be turned in, although it's unknown how this affects rewards from the chest at the end.
Once all three items from the papetries have been turned in. Talk to Filchaflix once again to make the reward chest pop.
This should get everyone 50+ marbles each time.
One last note. The forcers dotted around generally contain more sachets of bugs or wood, but very rarely living keys or an eau de Moblin, however these scale to the highest level party member in order to break open. This means that anyone a lot lower will be useless in breaking open the boxes.
Having erase, reraise, stoneskin, and poisona are very handy in the maze. Don't bother trying to fight anything.
There can be no doubt, though, that V05 is especially easy and V06 can cause problems. So you might want to work on V05 first.
By the way, saving up CC points is a good idea when you are solo and know what you are doing. However:
1) If you are part of a group, you can often get more marbles by spamming every day. More shared crates for everyone can make up for the missing CC crate.
2) If you don't know what you are doing (for example, doing V05 or V06 for the first time), you might be throwing away CC points on a potential loss. Spam the maze daily until you are confident you will win it all the time.
if you can go right before jp midnight its better to do 2 runs every other day that way you have 2 CC points for first run
example moday 11:45pm JST first run tuesday 12:15 Am 2nd run wednesday 11:45pm thursday 12:15 AM so on and so forth
might be a little harder if in a group as you would be doing for 6 hours straight
Just throwing this out there, but I watched a video of someone running V05, and I noticed you can speak to Switchlox from the bottom floor where Tempatriq is. You need to hug right up against the wall to talk to him. I know this only saves seconds, but hey; the sooner it's done, the sooner you can do something else.
I just did a V05 with Rune 99 - Replenishment Contract, which causes Forcers to appear.
Here are the forcers and their contents:
Near Tempatriq - 10 Gobbie Surprises.
Near Vendastox - 1 Vitality Potion (HUH? What's this for?!)
Near Bouncebix - 3 Remedies
Near Boss - 2 Hi-Elixirs
Also Near Boss - 1 Revitalizer (Nice!)
The first thing I thought when I saw a VIT potion was "hidden pld job wut?". However, even after defeating Switchlox's ultimate challenge and hearing him say that he has taught me a new technique, and with VIT potion in inventory, no new job was available. The purpose of the VIT potion is a complete mystery to me.
Because I had the floating weapons as my boss, Chaperix did not even use his 1st revitalizer, let alone the 2nd one. I wish I had gotten a different boss so we could learn if Chaperix will use both revitalizers.
Anyway, between the revitalizer and the 10 gobbie surprises, it sounds like you can use rune 99 instead of doing R3. This would allow you to complete your V05 run a little faster, which is nice I guess.
If my math is right, rune 99 is -3 marbles.
By the way, I had a very strange fight against the floating weapons. None of them attacked or linked. Even the weapon that Chaperix was fighting did not fight back. It continued to wander around aimlessly as though it had not been aggroed. Chaperix literally finished the fight with 100% HP and no items used.
That's really bizarre about the weapons. I have been noticing lately that they seem to act more consistently since the last patch. Every time I've gotten them, every weapon in a set will link as soon as Chaperix does anything to one of them, which has completely eliminated the times when there would be 2-3 left in a set, and Chaperix would wander around aimlessly because they were too far from where he was standing. I was beginning to think that they may have ninja patched it when they add V08, but unfortunately it seems that I've just been getting lucky.
Actually I think you are right, I also noticed an improvement since the last patch. However, maybe Rune 99 or something else that I did caused this new, weird behavior.
The only thing I've noticed about the weapons is that if they get killed in one shot, then they aren't considered "aggro'ed" and the surrounding weapons won't link. This can be a problem with Spellslinger, as sometimes a weapon would wander off far from Chaperix's range, and it'd take him a while to see and kill it since it wouldn't aggro.
Are there any hints to actually winning Maze Voucher 08 (Fishing) While solo?
What bait to bring, Maybe what rod, prefer not to spend 2.5mil on Bait/rod though >.>;
I've tried it twice now, and i get
"You didn't catch anything"
"You didn't catch anything"
"You didn't catch anything"
"You didn't catch anything"
"You didn't catch anything"
"You didn't catch anything"
"Heres a Crayfish, 10 points yay"
"You didn't catch anything"
"You didn't catch anything"
"Enemy team has -1930982230948203 Points, you lose, Get out"
Thats pretty much how my runs go in about 15 minutes or less, no matter where i try fishing at or which bait i use thats -all- i get ever ._., the closest i came to winning was when i had 980 Points, and i was even using Peon :\
The advice of "frog lure at the closest pond, worm lure at the next closest (to the west)" works pretty well, though I almost lost last time because that colibri glued itself to the frog lure pond after about 5 minutes.
It's going to run dry, at least temporarily, after a bit. Or be camped by a jackass bird. At which point you'll want to move to the 2nd pond and use a worm lure, so bring both.
Frog lure at the nearest pond gets you Giant Catfish (!!!, 31). Worm lure at the next pond gets you Black Eel (!, 47). I'm really not sure about a minimum level recommendation; the last time I fished Black Eels under cap, the fishing minigame didn't exist yet. I will say that even at my level, I found going for the Monke-onke to be a pretty epic battle...
If you want to make it easier, use Paeon (sp) and Weakness. It till give you a head-start point-wise. I still managed to get a Heron Ring, even with those runes. It's hard to say if it affects the drop rate or not, but you need to worry about actually winning the maze first, and unknowable (if existent) factors of drop rates second.
Use a worm lure.
Also, i go as ninja during night time for + movement speed, using sprinter's shoes as well, to minimize the amount of time running back and forth between the goblin NPC and the ponds.
Just a quick question for those that are familiar with Mamool Ja earring's maze setup, i used the following maze and went 0/9 after finding out that stillness is a key component for it to drop. If it isn't required, then i think i am 0/20+ on earring. Anything wrong with this maze's setup?
Maze Voucher 07
Rune 005 - Lizard
Rune 013 - Great Warrior
Rune 016 - Stillness
Rune 017 - Supreme Might
Rune 018 - Might
Rune 054 - Black Mage
Rune 095 - Lost & Found
I have no clue on MMM but i just the damn earring! Anyone has a better setup or a setup that has good drop rate for your group. Thanks in advance.
