    I haven't done this one in a while, but Might+Supreme Might should be enough to make it so that as long as you clear Slayalox's area while doing all 3 of his quests, he should end up close to level 60. I've seen some people recommend using Walloper to level up, but my group prefers using Barrager because you can round up a big group of guys (<3 Lamiabane) and he will dispatch them in a few bomb tosses (it's not uncommon to see him jump 5-10 levels at once). Just let him kill at least one before you start linking everything, we found he doesn't level up very well on the first mob after you enter the area (weird, but better safe than sorry).

    Speaking of belts, is getting him to 41+ all that is necessary for a chance at a "good" belt? I used to trio a "max marbles" maze (41 marbles) and we were able to get him to 60 and fully upgraded in less than 20 minutes.

    41+ simply means whatever belt you get will be lvl75.

    Thanks, will try that later, been going without any M or SM on.

    I assume its better than save up to cap CC points for a chance at a better belt?

    CC points have nothing to do with the original belt that drops; only the 2nd one.

    I guess I should have asked "is there any maze configuration that will give me better belt mods or is it just random?" I've seen a maze guide claim that getting a good belt and farming for marbles are mutually exclusive for V05. If I have just as good odds of getting a good belt using a marble farming maze configuration (silence/amnesiac/budget/velocity/numbers/M+SM) as I would with their "belt farming maze" (str/dex/108/M+SM), then I don't see any point to doing anything *but* the marble farming configuration. Unless of course, you have all the runes and just want to finish quickly.

    This is totally me.

    But if it helps you any, the belt I got above was on a M01 maze (Voucher 5 of course). Runes used were 033 (Intellect), 054 (Black Mage), 102 (Trial By Numbers), 108 (Conditioning Contract), and 116 (Spellslinger). I prefer not to really use Might or Supreme Might as it doesn't ever seem to do a lot for me (all it does is waste time with harder mobs). I can almost always get him to 55-60 anyways. The only thing that really sucks is when you get Weapons bosses :/.

    Overall, the mods of the belt seem completely random and based on any number of factors that we don't really have any idea (could be day? seems to be based on NM fought? etc.) Running with the same maze a lot lately though I've seen a LOT of variants of the INT MAB MDB above; there's even been a couple of fast cast belts in there.

    The Fast Cast belt is old, but the +4 INT belt is from last night. Both are from the marble farming maze. I've seen plenty of INT/MAB/MDB/MAcc belts since thats pretty much all the mods that are possible on the Spellslinger's belt. Seeing the stats maxed out is an entirely different issue (<3 -2 INT belts).

    Is there any sort of strategy people use to enter MMM during high traffic times(JP prime hours)? Other than the obvious trade maze and enter.

    Lately MMM has been a pain in the ass to enter. Tried to enter the other night for over 30minutes until we got in. While the JP players run right up to the maze storefront and instantly get in and are warped. Everbloom had between 30-45people in it at this time too, seems low for it to be full.

    Getting in is just luck. I have a trade macro (/item "Maze Tabula R01" <t>). Sometimes I get in right away, sometimes it takes 40 minutes.

    What's the best layout to farm Magic runes? We seem to get crappy crafting runes instead of magic ones.

    Figured as much, but it never helps to ask. So just using LnF and keep farming around is best to hope and pray?

    Yes. If you are tying to put together an NM maze, I don't think you need a particular Magic rune. Divine, Dark and even Elemental (if you have stun) can all be good. Shouldn't take too long to see at least one of those.

    Magic runes are from a normal Hordebox/Lockbox, while job and synthing runes require 094. Voucher 05 can drop up to 3 runes at a time, plus an additional from the Lockbox.

    Edit: I can confirm that Voucher 06 can drop 2 runes, so 3 may be possible there as well.

    SE can't even instance things right. Now instead of getting cockblocked at Meripo camps, you get cockblocked at the solution to getting cockblocked at Meripo camps. FFS.

    Only solution is to get a good party and go run someone else out of a good area. Not nice and it's no fun to do that (unless they're idiots).

    Do you know if the third rune from Voucher 05 can be something other than 114-116? For some reason I think that rune set takes up a specific slot in V05 loot pool, since it's specific to that Voucher. Salinity shift possibly has the same properties.
    I've never seen more than 2 runes drop from any voucher in the hoardbox yet (but I've seen the doubles in most vouchers), although, I've mostly done V01, V06, and V07.

    You're right. I must have been thinking of Job runes. Definately take off the Lost & Found rune if you are after Magic runes.

    I've personally seen double runes from Voucher 01 and Voucher 06 mazes. Never have seen three runes at once. I wonder if a third rune is only possible if it is a voucher specific rune.

    XPing in MMM and asking to lot any runes you need might be a good plan. Most people who do XP mazes don't care about runes.

    I'm still pretty new at mazing, but that's the only time I've ever seen 3 from the Hordebox. It does sound reasonable that the 3rd slot is voucher specific.

    Been doing a Duplidoc maze (019, 020, 085, 094, 103, 104, 117) with a friend whenever he's online. That's the pool from our last 3 mazes (1st and 2nd pools had C. C. points, nothing of interest in Lockbox). I was afraid using 019 and 020 would hurt our odds of getting rings. I think we've gone through less than 10 runs now.
