In order to make a weak maze you need one of these runes with that in mind you could solo many /sch sleep nuking or sharpshot vs birds:

    Rune 020
"Peon" 2 -- File:SR 2x1.gif Monsters far less formidable than the client will be lured into the maze.
Your opponents will begin the match with a significant disadvantage.

    or

    Rune 019
"Weakness" 2 -- File:SR 2x1.gif Monsters less formidable than the client will be lured into the maze.
Your opponents will begin the match with a disadvantage.

Did the update notes say something about buying gear from the goblin in 09?

If so is it possible to get up a list of what gear he sells atm upon entering, Id like to see if any of the gear I want is obtained in 09 so I can work on it asap.

I may possibly have enough marbles atm from fishing runs to buy the voucher, if so I'll report back

Add in Rune 010 (Demon) if you can. Imp and Ahriman floors are easy and even Tauri are easier than Rocs or Hippos.

I did the vermin one solo it was a spider mob the one that does filamented hold. He had en poison on his attacks. was hitting a 79 blu/nin for 200 - 250. His only tp move was spinning top wiped my shadows and did 310 dam. The poison was a problem I think it was high because i had regeneration up and I still went down quick. No exp loss. Used cc points for rr and items. didnt do enough damge for prize

Did gumdrop with 5 people, we lasted about 6 mins with RRs

Medicines 3 cc points gets you fanatics/fools and revitalizer, in other words for 3 cc points and 300 gil you can now recharge your 2 hour.

1 cc point buff was resist to elements, 2 cc points was RR for pt, and 3 points was refresh/regen, didnt even look at how much a tick.

DDs were barely breaking 10 dmg a hit with their weapons, I dancing edged for like 70 some dmg, DDs were barely breaking 200 at best.

Gumdrop hit me for over 500 dmg, DEFINITELY recommend shadow tanking this guy.

Dissapears and you auto fail if everyone dies.

How do you "win" at Voucher 09 then? It's hard to believe we can kill these guys. The description makes it seem like they just want to see how much damage you can do.

Btw, Tauri do not do Mortal Ray in MMM. MMM Colibri don't reflect either. When you get imps, there's a TON of them.

That is, if you could actually ENTER MMM.

Seems you need to breach a certain level of damage to the enemy in 15 minutes.

If you do somehow manage to kill the monster however, you will get to face an even tougher monster for bonus points?

Thats what it seems like to me.

So I tried Voucher 09 and fought 2 NMs (Flan + Diremite) with a normal party setup. I equipped the Amorph and Vermin Runes which described giving an advantage versus the NMs along with Force of Will.

Gumdrop - The flan had the usual two modes (lazy and angry modes are what I call it) and frequents Xenoglossia which instacasts a random spell. We did fine up until around 60% where it decided to strip shadows with Amorphic Spikes and then deliver an instant Flood for over 1300dmg. After some difficulty with both DD being down we were able to recover and get it to ~38% before having it depop.

The rewards were nothing special (Green Stone, Gold Ingot, runes).

-Melee damage was pretty good as was BLM damage.

-The biggest difficulty was not being one-shotted by Amorphic Spikes. The NM reminded me of the flan in Nyzul (Caraway Custard iirc).

-After some time the Flan used a 2hour animation which basically made him spam TP moves for a while.

-Seemed to have en-blind on melee attacks.

The next NM I tried was the Diremite. The diremite by far was more difficult than the flan. Hundred Fists coupled with insane en-poison is basically a deathtrap.

However by accident we discovered that the NM is vulnerable to Gravity and did not begin to shake it for at least 8 casts. I suppose this would make this NM more susceptible to a manaburn setup because the Hundred Fists worked a Sentinel'd PLD in no time.

We got this NM to 50% before wiping and got the prompt that we qualified for no rewards.

Was doing some digging around and stumbled across this: (I can't read JP btw)

    http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/lll_chandle.../52349718.html

    http://ff11wiki.info/main/E3-82-A2-E...-83-BC-09.html

Apparently Voucher 09 drops the Tern items (cape, stone, and necklace), and Ferox Visor, as well as crafting mats like Dragon Heart, and Angel skin apparently.

Seems the first stages monsters are the Flan (Gamdrop), the Diremite (Babalu Aye), a slug? (Egungun). Second stage are a Goobbue (Chuhaister), a Hyppogryph (Hippalectryon), and some kind of Arcana perhaps.

What kind of thread is that in that loot pool? Options in that color seem to be wool, karakul, and cashmere. With the new use of cashmere cloth (Juogi) I've been wondering if they'd add a new source too. Since the name uses only two characters, I'm inclined to think it's wool, but hope springs eternal.

Did the Slug NM and as expected it is a pain.

Normally it seems to be weak to melee damage while halving magical damage used on it. It will use the standard -ooze TP moves until it eventually uses Meikyo Shisui.

When it uses Meikyo it uses the ooze attack that removes gear and attempts to sit on a player. This causes it to regen and during the time it will absorb melee attacks while becoming weak to magical attacks. Once some time has passed it stops the attachment behavior and goes back to meleeing whoever is at the top of the hate list.

Tried this a couple times today with some friends.

    I set up the tabula as M03 - Voucher 09;
    Runes : Amorph (002), Vermin (006), Mysticism (037) - resonated, Onslaught (071), Protection (072), Rapid Strike (079), Lost and Found (094).

The family set of runes (Amorph, Bird, etc), definately gives you the Killer Trait although it doesn't show up in traits. I'm not sure if the runes give a circle effect though.
Mysticism gives the MP boost icon, so I guess it works exactly like Mana boost. My mp went from ~600 to just over 1k.

I asked the melee's what boost they got, but I'm not sure about the replies. One said they had a +20 str boost, another said +10 dex too, but this may have been from their gear and they misunderstood me. We got no other status icons from the runes. I forgot to check my own stats to confirm so maybe next time.

First battle we tried was against the slug. Didn't last long enough to see Meikyo Shisui. Should probably mention that we were between 75 and 79 in level, since it's likely that the monster scales to the highest party member.

Next tried the diremite. A single melee hit on me was for 800 +, and Grapple did 1.4k. Did 1.6k to our Thf, and Pld had 1k+ TP moves hit him as well. I was level 75, Pld was 79.

Oh, the members card you're given goes into your inventory (I thought this would have been a key item, but eh).

If you die and rr and don't do anything to it, it won't come after you even if you're resting right next to it when the rest of the party dies (i.e. no party wide hate). Mob despawns immediately when there is no one on the hate list.

Ok random question for people. I just got a Maze Rune 040 from our EXP run, according to wiki it needs to go into voucher 07 and i want to try and get a working maze out of it. Can someone give me a quick rundown of what I need? 100 marbles to buy voucher 007 I have already. Is this rune even worth using?

Okay I am a MMM newb at this but here we go.

I would like to do some MMM exp mazes (Lvl 75+). Now, can I just go to the gobbie and buy one of the mazes that others have put together or am I out of luck on making an ideal one and have to work to buy/ win the maze pieces?

You can definitely buy an ideal setup, and it costs an insignificant amount of gil.

You need to know what you're looking for. The most important runes are:
108 - This MUST be present in order to get a huge XP bonus from the ending crate.

17 and 18 - These make the mobs stronger than you. If you want to practice on an easier setting first, find a maze that has either 17 or 18 instead of both at the same time. For real, efficient, 6-man 75+ meriting, you definitely want both 17 and 18.

1 through 16 - various runes from 1 to 16 combine to strongly influence (but not exactly determine) the monster families you will face. For example, "Bird" and "Tiny Warrior" make it likely that you will see Colibri, but it is never guaranteed.

It's nothing special. A much better question is what are you looking to get out of MMM? Other than just having fun, are you:

    A) Looking for XP
    B) Looking for rare/exclusive/augmented items. If so, what items in particular?
    C) A "completionist" who wants every rune and voucher just to collect them
    etc
