Ah I'm not sure. I just put my setup together randomly and havn't touched it since it seems to work. I have 3 elements resonating with the runes (L+F prevents all 4) so maybe that's whats doing it? I don't know if Force of Will + War have an element.

Try adding job runes to boss mazes if you have them, preferably the easier ones like black mage. I'm going to try Ermine's run again today, I didn't realize I could get Greater Warrior to resonate cause I was kind of blindly doing it off the few things I saw posted.

So do the Job runes just give the mobs the traits of the job? By that I mean, the White Mage Rune would give Clear Mind and Auto-Regen, but not make the mob casty unless you also put a magic type rune on the board?

Job runes will let them cast spells according to the job.

I got a second whm rune last night, so I'm now 2/10 on drops after starting out 0/8 on bugard.

Daily update. Only need 10 more runes for a "current" full set, and only one of them drops from a Hoardbox (056 - THF). Others I'm missing (but this will soon be remedied) are: 030 - Dexterity, 032 - Vitality, 035 - Charisma, 036 - Hardiness, 037 - Mysticism, 082 - Prospector, 083 - Woodsman, 084 - Harvester, and 095 - Swift Synthesis. Will post pics of the full set as soon as I have them all ^.^).

Morning post-JP Midnight update. Got THF this morning, so every single rune that drops from hoardbox currently I have (only need 8 more runes for an entire current set). Also, an interesting surprise. I clicked on Maze Artisan this morning and he offered it to me for 1000 marbles. Was gonna buy more runes and finish up my set, but I think I'll do this first lol.

Edit* This blows the "crafting maze" theory out of the water since I have done ZERO crafting mazes on my main. Gawd, I wonder how many Overlord is gonna cost; 1500? 2000? lol.

*INSERT WILD THEORY*: Maybe Artisan becomes available when you have every rune that drops from the boxes? Maybe Overlord will become available when I have all currently available runes? Only time will tell.

That's quite an achievement, congratulations. When you do your marble runs, do you have your title set?

Might just be a coincidence, but on my main's runs I've been like 0/20 on rune drops ... with my title "Maze Navigator" set. Today it was something different ... and got a rune drop.

I've been keeping Maze Scholar on for just about everything and switching it back whenever it gets changed from it. I'm seriously beginning to think that day/moon phase have something to do with rune drops. Yesterday on my 11 or so Lost and Found farms I saw all job runes and maybe one crafting rune. Today I saw mostly all crafting runes and only 1 job runes fall :/

Would you mind posting the moon phases best for job rune farming, I really need to get into them.

Managed to Duo the Bugard with just might today with sam/nin + rdm/whm admittedly had few close calls and took about 20 minutes but managed it, no drops of course still using tabula 03 dark magic[on dark], Great Warrior[on earth], Might, Red Mage, and Lost/Found. I wouldn't advise to DD/nin w/o good haste set-up, though w/o Might or Supreme, it's much easier to duo.

apoc drk + rdm can easily win too

but if you adding on stillness to bugard(water on water) for mamool earring, i would recommend a brd.........enhanced WS is no joke O_O

Here is the (small) sample set of info I have so far:

New Moon: 3 No Drops, Elementals, 2 Supreme Might
Waxing Gibbus: 5 No Drops, Demons
Last Quarter Moon: 1 No Drop, Demons, Dragons, Elementals, White Mage
Waning Gibbus: 7 No Drops, Dragons, Supreme Might, Dark Magic, Monk

Hopefully with a week or two of work we can get a sample set that is large enough to see some clear patterns.

He did it 41 times without a drop but he did get it once, which is all that matters.

Great Warrior (on earth)
Might
White Mage (until i can get a better job rune)
Divine Magic
Lost and Found

I used stillness on water a couple times and all i got was nothing but a headache. I used the above setup to get my second whm rune in two days (for my first whm rune I had force of willness on), so I'm going to use this setup since its been the only one to get me any sort of drop.

Oh no, I still haven't seen a drop from my rune. Sword dropped for someone else about 20 Tanihwas ago. For drops: 2/42 with 1 Koggelmander and 1 Zonure

It eludes me ;_;
