0/20 on Koggel. Good job SE on once again creating fun content with ridiculously random drop rates that puts people off.

Does anyone know how to get additional Repertoire options? The ones currently available seem lacking; there's no "Awakening" or "Under a Clouded Moon" which is dumb.
Is there any screenshot of getting Mamool Ja Earring from the raptor? I don't remember seeing one but it would be nice if it were possible.
I'm looking for some feedback from folks who solo their mazes on BST, or do Kill all mazes with groups at level 75 with some extra hardness added.
Every so often none of my farming friends are about, so I go solo.
I pack tabula 2 with Lost & Found, Peon, Aquin, then cram it with runes that resonate or just fit and make things stronger. STR, Light, Stillness, Motion, and so on. Then off I go to clear the two levels of mobs.
I've done it twice now and each time I have seen excellent rune drops. Both times I have gotten two.
I'm interested is seeing if I'm just lucky, or if others who have built Kill all mazes that have some weird hardness aspects added on have seen this also. I know SE said that harder = better drops but I was not sure of this includes runes.
Anyone with input?
0/11 on ermine's nowz, at least it's fun...
hope they add even more worthwhile stuff to it too next update![]()
Results form experiments on MMM i've run:
Experiment 1: Elemental Farming
Goal: Farm Light Elementals for Clusters for Craft Synthing.
Results: Fail
Trial 1: Jobs used: Rdm/whm and Blm/rdm to eliminate as many elementals as possible within 30 minutes. I used Voucher 01, Rune 27 "Light" and Rune 12 "Elemental" to try to create Mazer Lurkers in the form of Light Elementals. I used Runes 19 "Weakness" and 20 "Peon" to lower the mobs' level as much as possibe. I used Tabula M02 and put Rune 12 on the "Light" spot to try to force Light elements. When we went in, NO Light Elementals Popped.
Trial 2: As above, but i resonated the Rune 27 "Light" on the Light square of the grid. Light Elementals DID pop. However, this could be a random mob type pop. The point is moot either way; very few dropped Light Clusters.
Experiment 2: Use Voucher 04 and Rune 95 to reduce crafting time.
Results: Fail
Trial 1: I used Tabula M01, Voucher 04, Runes 19 and 20 to make temporary crafting item mobs as weak as possible. I used Rune 82 "Prospector," Rune 94 "Lost and Found," and runes 106 and 109. The purpose of the experiment however centered around the use of Rune 95 "Swift Synthesis" to reduce crafting time for items that are normally NPC'd for gil. I used 75 Blue Mage to eliminate Easy Prey Maze Lurkers as quickly as possible.
I used a stop watch to determine the amount of time a normal synth takes outside of MMM. I synthed Holy Water (Light Cluster + Distilled Water) as an example synth. Starting the crafting timer after the ingredients were entered and hitting "OK" in the menu, and stopping as soon as the result of the synth was displayed in the chat dialogue box. The result was about 17 seconds, give or take 1 second for reaction time. This result was constant across 6 synths.
I then entered the maze as described above, and attempted the same synth, to see how "dramatically" crafting time would be reduced. The crafting time for Holy Water was the same as in the control variable; 17 seconds, with 1 second margin of error.
From this, we can conclude that Rune 95 only reduces crafting time for the "synth" that is the objective of the maze.
EDIT: I would add that i'm an 84 Carpenter, for the purpose of the objective of the maze.
It's not just the drop rates now, it's trying to find people willing to help. Even say you do a shout pt, an average NM run can go from 15-20 minutes, depending on who you pick up. A full pt of random NMs, it's hard to set aside 3+ hours of shouting/gathering/fighting/afk'n in a day. That's also assuming it's not some random person with an Elemental NM... All my old friends that used to help, just stopped caring.
The only other person I know that actively tries to do MMM NMs daily on Midgardsormr is Kittycatty. He's gotten both Tail (1/13) and Gnole Crown (1/1), yet all the times I've done MMM NMs with him, Koogel refuses to drop.
Will healing magic rune work in place of divine magic rune on kogglemander run?
1/3 on Ermine's Tail with the setup I posted on the previous page, except replacing "Lizard" with "Beast."
So psyched to have gotten it so soon compared to my koggelmander. It's a handsome dagger, too.
If anyone can make the sword drop on Gilgamesh I'll buy it from you![]()
My guess is the basic structure for Koggelmander is: Great Warrior + Lizard + NM Voucher
The rest you can just add on to make the NM more difficult and increase the drop rate. I'm not sure if Peon allows for drops to occur, but it should considering that the difficulty of the mob varies with the drop rate, not the actual dropping of the item.
Where did we conclude LnF is not necessary for items drop?
Can anyone give me some tips for just starting out on MMM? I done some after it was launched but didn't really get the gist of it. The mazes we tried were always 2 types of mob, kill everything. Thx![]()
