There have been a few posts prior to this (I even bring it up in one earlier) that suggest that each CC point is 50% of marbles, 100% of exp from chest. For instance if a run gives you 15 marbles, 500 exp, then the C.C. chest with 1 CC would be 7/500, with 2 CCs 15/1000, with 3 CCs 22/1500, etc. Not a lot to establish a pattern but that's what it was looking like until my friend got the lower C.C. chest return, which is why I thought it worth noting. Even in V07s we did (which according to the update notes give additional exp as well as item chance in the C.C. chest), with 5 C.C. we got 2.5x marbles and 5x exp, and with 6 C.C. got 3x marbles and 6x exp.

Going by the numbers in your quote, it seems that you get 1/3 of normal XP "up front" when you defeat a mob, and the other 2/3 goes into the Hoardbox. As I understand it, rune 108 then doubles what went in the Hoardbox. So, 3400 = 4*850. /QUOTE

I think you only get 25% of the exp off the mobs, and 75% goes to the chest. You get 50 EXP off the first kill (normally), and 50 is 25% of 200 exp. The mobs seem pretty high level ITs with Might and Supreme Might. This assumes all 75s.

I assumed the 1/3 number because 850*4 = 3400 from Suiram's example. If it's not 1/3 and 2/3 then his numbers make no sense, assuming rune 108 doubles Hoardbox XP. I personally didn't pay attention to XP numbers when I did my only XP mazes back before I had any runes.

I was curious what level mobs you get when you use Might + Supreme Might. Nice that you can scale all the way up to IT. I assume Voucher 3 (Gamma) gives you mobs scaled to lowest level character? Next time I try a farming maze I plan to do Voucher 2 (Beta) but I'll try Gamma as well eventually.

    Thanks for all the info.

    Voucher 03 Gamma

Tried farming marbles with this voucher. Used three trial runes (Numbers, Silence, Anmesia) since Velocity and Budget can't be used with Voucher 03. Also placed Supreme Might and Guidance Contract. End result was 23 marbles in Hoardbox (plus Divine Magic) and 57 marbles in C.C. chest (no rune) with 5 C.C. points.

I didn't count the number of "floors" in the maze, but about 10ish before I no longer got the option to "go deeper." Each floor had different mobs as far as I recall, not sure if that is unusual. Sometimes mobs were in one room, sometimes spread over two. Minimum was two morbols (each in its own room) and max was four or five lizards all in a room together. Saw wivre, leeches, bugards, sheep, hounds, maybe others. Voucher 03 allows for mob family runes, but didn't try one, so not sure what effect it would have.

Got a glowing ??? on one floor that turned out to be mana powder, not sure if I missed anything else. No forcers. No map.

Maze pearl would give a number for mobs remaining, but it didn't make sense to me. Didn't refer to the current floor and didn't seem to refer to the next floor either (although that might be nice if it did) and didn't seem to refer to the maze as a whole either. Have to pay more attention next time I try a Voucher 03.

Being able to exit after any floor (like Nyzul Isle Assault) is nice for an XP maze, but remains to be seen if you can influence the type of mob you get.

You can't, it's strange. Sorry I forgot to post when I did this but it allowed me to set "Vermin", and yet only one or two of the floors had Vermin type mobs, the rest had regular mobs, so I don't know what was up with that.

With voucher 3 and guidance contract.
After checking the pearl each floor, I believe that even though it says "x monsters", the number given is actually the number of the floor you are on.

Tried a V02 108 exp run. Rune setup exactly the same as JPButton V01 108 run. Died on first 3 mobs so wasted a small amount of emperor band. Duplicated the maze and went back in....

    http://img82.imageshack.us/img82/602...8fleetfoot.jpg

Rune 081 is called "Fleetfoot." Description is, "Foes in the maze will move more swiftly." Niv says it works in V02 and V06. He also says he used anniversary ring (also partially wasted on first run) and got 11216 from regular chest, 2572 from C.C. chest, so seems like C.C. chest and 108 aren't compatible in V02, either.

Wow! Tried this once as a mentioned, we couldn't beat it, we just got overwhelmed. What party setup did you use?

Last evening, I decided to use the V01 Beastmaster Solo setup as none of my maze friends were about, and I had 6 CC points saved up and wanted to see if it would have any impact on rune drops.

The set up included 108, aquins, peon, and a variety of runes to 'make it harder' like strength, light, motion, ice and so forth. In the past this set up has almost always ( 14/18 ) produced a rune drop for me.

Well this time was another success. I got a Dragon rune (yawn) out of box one, and then out of the bonus box I got the new #81 "Fleetfoot"

So the new rune drops without L&F, I'm wondering if Conditioning Contract and CC points are needed? And if a L&F run with CC points will produce another new drop.

We were WAR MNK BLU RDM BRD COR. The first run we got triple-bats at the start and got overrun fast (we also hadn't buffed before descending so people were buffing as they came and weren't expecting so many so quickly). The second run (that I posted above) we got birds at the start, tore through them fairly easily, then got triple-bats second wave and started to get overrun again, I think primarily due to the attack-down spam. We had a death but powered through it, and I had set sheep song to help sleep a bit, which may have helped. When we were down to 1 triple-bat left we took it to the far NE corner of the room before we killed it.

I'd done this voucher a couple times with duo and trio (no M/SM, and usually peon) and tried different spots, and had the impression that the mobs auto-aggro anywhere in the zone. Based on my observations yesterday though, it seems like they just have a really large aggro/linking radius. Camping in that northeast spot we'd only aggro about half the mobs coming in on the last two waves, which made it easier to manage. The third wave was single-bats, so it didn't matter much there, but the last wave was Taurus and I think camping in the middle could have been problematic for them.

Nope, I don't have L&F or Conditioning Contract, and I got fleetfoot on a normal marble farm setup 01 maze (it was also the first maze I did since the update, so I had no CC).

I can confirm Cantih's info on Fleetfoot's drop status. I got it tonight on a basic V01 marble run, No L&F rune, No Conditioning Contract rune, and no saved C.C. points. It's a basic Hoardbox drop.

Ok that's one new drop found...

they'll come find you no matter where you are, but if you camp away from the pit, the mobs will pause, and take longer to get to you trying to figure out where you are. I'm not sure if it matters where you camp, north, south, east or east of the pit, just *not* IN the pit. This help stagger the wave a bit.

I took out Trial by Numbers, and that helped with us not getting overwhelmed. Double bard helps to for extra layers of add control, but with staggering the mobs, you might be able to do with just one bard. blue would help to, yes.

Interesting thing was we didnt' get cockatrice or perytons...so far.

Ya know i gotta say, Whm is pretty darn good for Voucher 01. Esuna makes the Triple Bats a welcome foe; Sonic Boom is not a problem at all. That and if you get Cockatrice, it's not a big thing. Whm > Rdm for Voucher 01?

You do realize that with a bit of effort, you can control what family of mobs you fight in any of the mazes? For the record, yes, WHM is the best at removing status effects now.

Tried Voucher 02 with usual exp setup, (birds + tiny warrior yadda yada) again with Drgx2, thf, war, brd, whm. People had to use compass 2 gtfo, why?

During my first few tries at voucher 02, i noticed that Perytons and Cockatrice weren't coming. I thought maybe they wouldn't appear in this maze. However, the law of probably dictated that they appear sooner or later (yes, the law says this, it's in the back somewhere...), and so there they were, Cockatrice! A wave of them was just too much.

Yes, i know this. I'd rather have Triple bats than damn Perytons.

I'm a bit new to exp mazes (only got my own 108 a week or so before the update), so if you don't mind could you elaborate on this a bit further? For instance, if I wanted single bats, flamingo/murres and perytons, but not triple bats or cocatrice, there is a way to influence that?

Try resonating Tiny Warrior only. Seems like less but probably just placebo.

You WANT Perytons? there's fewer of them (therefore less exp), More HP and bad TP moves.

EDIT: Does anyone actually recommed Birds/Imps mix? The Ahriman would be the biggest problem for LV5 Petrify, but nothing a Whm can't solve, but could be a chain killer. But...no moreso than Perytons/Cockatrice?
